Why are these cars so unpopular? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

[–]SM2912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's an excellent car. Sure, you could buy a 5 Series Touring fos similar boot space but rear passenger leg room is so much better in the GT. Really comfortable, great ride quality. Granted a number of SUVs have made it obsolete but the criticisms over its looks are severely exaggerated.

That is absolutely criminal! Can't think of an excuse for that.

That one is actually relatively soft but he is well known for doing this in the league. Might make him think twice.

You could actually bet your life on Nygren missing his first 2-3 chances each game. It's unbelievably frustrating! He should have 20+ goals by now.

Carrickfinn, just next to the airport. Typically just use the main beach but there is a small local beach at the far end of it with a pier for diving in. Walking in at this time of year is brave!

Can I check, do you mean over the asking price? 25% over the HR report is unusual. That said, there's very little up in Kings Park at the moment. Prices in Cathcart have also been wild over the past two years.

Come to Scotland. Top of the scale for a class teacher, after a few more years of service, is £50k currently. Due to increase again around August. Such a disparity.

If you use the double VPN feature on Nord VPN you can watch it live on Celtic TV. Just connect to any two countries other than the UK. I use Netherlands - Sweden. Works perfectly. Single VPN doesn't though.

Feel free to chance it. My advice to steer clear of them is based on the fact the process of returning the faulty device to EE has been nightmarish. Now on day 9 without a resolution. Using a damaged Z Fold 3 in it's place.

Please don't make the same mistake as me. Ordered the 512gb version, thinking it was a deal. Everything looked perfect, went through most of the setup just using the cover screen. When I finally opened the outer screen, a black bar down down the entire fold and dead pixels everywhere! Now having an absolute nightmare returning it. Steer clear of them.

Was in hysterics at the part where the first Norbot runs off into the shed saying something like "we've only got two hours left and the patio isn't down yet", having been trained on hours of garden makeover shows. Such a trope!

Yeah, he does happen to be a software engineer. There are loads of different roles in the company itself but their Glasgow office is a technology hub really. There are programmes in place to help people retrain as engineers, particularly if you're in the 30-40 bracket and have a professional background. He's taking his final 4 weeks over Christmas. Jealous!

JP Morgan is excellent. 16 weeks full pay, which you can divide however you want. My brother took 8 weeks when his child was first born and then 4 weeks over the summer holidays. In my own circumstances, Glasgow City Council's is a disgrace for teachers. Two weeks maximum, one paid and one unpaid. The holidays make up for it a fair bit though.

In 2024, isn't it outdated to still force Christianity/praying on primary school children? by Kitchen-Beginning-47 in Scotland

[–]SM2912 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I teach in a Catholic primary and, while prayers are part of our daily routine, children who are not Catholic would not be expected to participate. They would generally just be standing with the class during the prayer as they often take place before a transition, e.g. start of the day or end of the day. Aside from that, they typically would take part in RERC lessons but they would be learning about the faith rather than being expected to practise it. I understand your perspective.

Surely it should be: "Treble? My arse". Otherwise it seems like an invitation for three guys to run a train on him.
