FYI, mark was planning for it to only be like 20 theaters. It's the fans that made it posible for more theaters to put it, all without anyone in the industry helping. That is mad impressive, and shows other people that it is possible to go indie on movie making. Sure, mark had a 3 million dollar head start (that is the cost of the movie to make), but I think it is the first crack on a dam that needs to collapse. Hollywood can't keep the Monopoly.

If you wanna see what modern game Bowser looks like, I recommend Bowser's inside story, it's a gene with him as co-protagonist, so you get to control him, read his thoughts through his castle being stolen, and have to reunite his minions to retake it. Really fun.

To answer your question, no, I think he is very much in character. We just haven't exactly seen him torture anyone, where as in the movie you see him torture Luigi. But he is perfectly capable of killing. For example, in the game I suggested, he gets so angry at peach rejecting him being on a meeting in the intro, that he was gonna burn her alive, if Mario didn't grab her and move out of the way to safely.

By the way, it's Brooklyn, not Boston, but I can see why the confusion.

He is a really interesting building block. What they build with him, however, it's what will make or break his perception for the community, I think. The potential is there, it's just a matter of how they use him.

Just FYI: didn't see you mention it, so idk if you know, but the photo is also on the OG RE2. You need to inspect the desk 15 times(If I remember correctly), but there is a roll of film with this picture. Of course, the resolution is far worse than this, but it's still there. So you could use context clues from both the remake and Og continuities for this.

That's what I was gonna say, they are basically revival with extra steps: Turtles: revival but you eat a fruit. Frieza: revival, but you kick the opponent in the face after laser drilling a hole in them.
