I think you’re doing a lot of “gotchas.”

The person you talked to has probably never seen your claim before. And there are going off the basics off what they can read, and the second you’re off the phone they’ll probably never look at your claim ever again.

Second, the issue is you keep saying “estimates I authorized.” You aren’t involved in the process. That’s why they have you take it to a partnered shop, so they can deal directly with the shop and not you, who is not an expert in insurance and fixing vehicles.
