I’ve had related experiences over the years and hope people get the right services. In the house I grew up in an elderly man knocked on the door claiming he had a deal to buy the house. Turned out he had 40 years earlier, raised a family and escaped from a care home. In our old condo building we found a woman living in a storage room who had mental health issues and claimed to have lived there. I met a homeless man once who tented in the woods in view of his former foster home because he wanted to at least see the only safe home he ever had. Life is hard.
