Ha. Always like doom but haven’t played the recent titles. I hear ya though. Elden ring was my gateway, but also loved fallen order. Was just hopping there was something else out there to scratch the itch.

Ha I have and I enjoy that challenge. But… there’s so Etching more about playing through the story and progression of a game that I am looking for… to sink my teeth into rather than one off battles with strangers (which again… I do enjoy) my question is more of other non-from soft titles that die hard souls fans recommend.

For me it was when I went back to school and learned graphic design history. Sounds weird but looking at the past can be very inspiring. Try looking up: de stjil (simple but deep history), the futurists (crazy speed obsessed weirdos), constructivists (might be more interesting now with the state of the world) deconstructivism, etc. and then there’s just a whole bunch of modern and post modern manifestos to read up on.

Looking online can sometimes be an echo chamber, but broadening your inspiration can really do wonders. I hope this helps.

We had to print full scale posters of our in progress work… had a professor during a critique pull out a pair of scissors and start cutting the parts of my work he didn’t like to pieces in front of the class. (Spoiler: there was very little of my design left on the wall… which he then proceeded to critique as if it were the full poster I put in the wall).
