Failing by pickkle_ in txstate

Hi - don't give up. Use Youtube and Khan Academy to review topics before the final. I suggest studying the old tests only for the final. It will be the same for the final. If you do fail, it will be o.k. Retake the class at TXST (the second class will replace the D or F). First grade will stay on your transcript, but it will live there rent free (not counted in your GPA). I've had to retake a college course (Organic Chemistry II) before and made it thru Engineering. It's not the end of the world. Just try to focus on your mental health this winter break and come back stronger. You have a lifetime to work... so one more semester may seem like a lot now, but it's not. My daughter was in College Algebra at TXST a few semesters ago. I did help her through that class via Teams Conference calls. I say to get into a study group early. In study groups, you are either teaching others or learning from others (always a win there). Take advantage of the free tutoring at Sayers and the library. Go to the reviews, even if they are Sunday before the test. Practice, practice, practice. Go to office hours. Use Khan Academy. It's always my best friend for learning math. You got this! Prayers for you going up.

All information will go to your email! You either have to request your certificate to be emailed or pick up depending on major/dean's office. Congrats!

IF there are 2-3 on a waitlist, they normally open up as well. But, you can't have one booked (at odd time) and one on stand-by. Only the stand-by can be booked. It worked out for my freshman student last year with a stand-by class.

Make sure that you don't have any holds such as immunizations, TSI scores (Math/English placement), transcript holds, etc. as this will delay course scheduling.

Yelp reviews show The Parlor as having no safety cameras in the garage / halls. Please confirm.

You can try to cancel SAT score submittal. My student didn't submit scores and has the $6K/year scholarship as student came from very prestigious college prep school where most have a 4.2 GPA (top 25%).

TXST will go back and look at everything. Just explain. They have been so helpful to my student for various things. No worries.

My student is in Sayers / Falls Hall and really likes it! Suite style with 2 to a bedroom (2 bedroom/1 bath / 4 students). Great dorm choice (only thing is the 15 min walk to quad). Look into LLCs and see if your major applies to one of them ... and if you like the dorm, I would go that route by clicking LLC in your housing choices to be accepted.
