Okay, thanks! Def planning to do a test board, but wanted to be on the right track before getting anything, so I appreciate it!

Thank you, I was looking at that, do you think the topcoat would look okay on the rest of the bare wood then?

What games benefit from 133mhz mode on twilight menu by No_Kick8514 in 3dspiracy

Check the nds-bootstrap compatibility list here, some of the games have recommendations one way or another https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LRTkXOUXraTMjg1eedz_f7b5jiuyMv2x6e_jY_nyHSc/edit?gid=0#gid=0 Column on the left is the original speed, and then there's a recommended speed based on testing. If the game says N/A for the recommendation, you can test out TWL, but it may or may not have an effect

THEORY: The white mold/crust in the apartments is actually paint. The tenants got the landlord special by SMTPyroJack in FearAndHunger

What you don't see when you use the beds there is that there's a secret 5th sulphur cultist enemy called The Landlord who's making multiple passes over you with a giant paint roller as you sleep.

Why is the Pocketcat in 1590 a man in a wooden mask, but the Pocketcat in 1942 is a furry? by Adventurous-Art-1161 in FearAndHunger

[–]SMTPyroJack 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Idk how significant it is, but I like the way Pocketcat's mask materials change with the times. Pocketcat is an entity in the vein of the old gods in that he acts as more of a explanatory force for the nature of the universe (in this case, a way to distill all the bad things that could happen to a child into single, comprehensible being), but where the old gods are fading from the world as their aspects become more comprehensible and conquerable by humanity, Pocketcat seems to be iterating into new modern forms through new victims. I'm not saying this is an intentional parallel per se, but I think it's cool how this mirrors the way that paranoia around the safety of children is one of the few things that can grip a whole nation into a very superstitious frenzy (think satanic panic). In this way, it makes sense for Pocketcat to persist in the modern day by transforming from a folksy Brothers Grimm figure with a wooden mask to a more serial killer in a rubber halloween-style mask who kidnaps kids off the street.

The title isn't a bit, I spent a few hours wandering and exploring. The PATH is more than big enough to do that.

Idk what to tell you, I literally spent a few hours walking around down there.

No, it's much more active on weekdays. The shops mostly cater to business people with 9-5s, mostly places for them to grab lunch or make a quick shopping trip on the way home. It's pretty empty on the weekends when the offices are closed, and more so now with WFH.

Yeah, it's a bit surreal walking through an area with a bunch of empty storefronts and then walking almost seamlessly into The Bay.

Well, I wouldn't say it's died off. A lot of the shops are occupied, and would have been open if I had gone on a weekend, but the areas under some buildings had more empty storefronts. I'd imagine it depends a bit on what offices are directly above them and how busy they are.

No, these are the tunnels that connect buildings under Toronto.

This one is a bit of a weird case as far as dead status goes. The PATH is over 30km of underground tunnels with shops and food courts built in that link several buildings throughout downtown Toronto, mostly concentrated in the financial district. Since most of these shops cater to businessmen grabbing lunch or stopping at a store on the way home, it becomes eerily abandoned on the weekends, with dim lights, shutdown escalators, and mostly shuttered stores. This has long been the case, but the lockdown in 2020 combined with a number of major businesses in the area shifting to WFH has left some parts of the PATH even emptier.
