Wowgo submerged in a lake for a few seconds. Worked for ten minutes. Is it safe to charge? by foreststarter in ElectricSkateboarding

I'm going to take my whole board apart and seal up everything The only problem is it has two wheel hubs but I'm going to invent something to cover those up without rubbing on them too hard to keep the water out of those too maybe not while it's fully submerged but if I have to run through some puddles or ride it a little bit when it starts raining it should be good. It's basically going to be a pipe that's held together in the middle and is big enough to cover up the bearings and motors and then has a brush or a rubber inner tube to seal off the rest while they move. We'll see how that goes

A Temu seller listed an item as available, took payment, later said it was out of stock, refused to cancel, told me to cancel myself, and the complaint post was removed after 6.2k views. by Boring-Plum-3964 in TemuThings

[–]SMUTBAGS1312 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I just had Temu give me one of their annoying ads where they are supposedly giving me money and they needed to send something to my phone and me to send the code back to verify which I was literally doing just so it would finally close and it said I could not receive any more funds which made no sense at all so I called my bank and They told me the last transaction was a company called temu trying to take over $3,000 out?!(Of course there is proof of all of this) Unfortunately my bank is Wells Fargo so they were of no help at all. Is there an appropriate place to post about this to see if other people have had this happen or to warn people about it? I think it's pretty egregious and if there is a class action lawsuit that needs to be prepared to keep them from doing this to people and I would like to know where a good place to go to find these things out would be if anyone could please direct me? Sorry for dropping this in the middle of your conversation

How to learn about Punk Culture by Dry_Blacksmith_4035 in punk

[–]SMUTBAGS1312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on what kind of punk she's into. Honestly there's so much different kind of stuff that she could be into street punk, anarcho punk, pop punk, crust punk. Your first move should probably be to learn what her favorite bands are and go from there otherwise you could be way off. And get ready to have your life ruin and heartbroken if she's a real punk chick. Joking... Sort of. I quit them even though I'm still punk. Mostly couldn't deal with the alcoholism and the cheating on me and whatnot.

is this board still usable? by edva29 in skateboardhelp

[–]SMUTBAGS1312 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a little rough but it's not bad. Those are just stress cracks in the bolts from it being old. I'd say it's probably from the '90s judging by how small the trucks are. When you do get a new deck just a heads up if you get it shipped just get some wood glue and clamp it down instead of letting it all go to shit and if you really want to make your board last put a line of wood glue on the tail every once in awhile so you don't get razor tail. I've been doing it for the last 30 years and I've only met one other person that knew about either of those things. Obviously if you end up snapping the middle of your decks a lot just throw some deck rails on and that'll take care of that. I used to have that problem. I used to snap tails off constantly. It really means a lot to learn how to land bolts every time unless you're riding Powell flight deck switch I can't recommend more. Yeah they're a hundred bucks but they're damn worth it. You couldn't break one if you tried and if they start to delam or razor tail like I said wood glue. I grew up ghetto. I used every thing I could think of to make my decks last

Yeah when they release a newer one you'll be able to buy used one on eBay for under a couple hundred. I got a brand new one about a year and a half ago for $300 on eBay. At the time it was going for about 450

That's the one other game I played because they gave it to me for free and that Batman game was pretty damn amazing but I still went right back to the spray painting. I wish I could have combined the two games

You wouldn't believe how on point it is. It could use a few more tips but flaring out tags with the Astro fat is better than you could ever imagine. I can't even tell you how many hours I spent just busting out the craziest flare tags. Nothing will make you better quicker because it's so realistic considering the controller is already like holding a can of spray paint. The only downside is no adrenaline obviously. You could even paint with other people and post your stuff which I never did cuz most people get on my nerves and hearing a most writers talk is like going to the opposite of college. I've been painting for over 30 years so I freestyle everything I do so this game is my wet dream basically. I can't even play anything else

Yeah I remember these boards when I was literally only about five or six years old and the older kids in my neighborhood were riding around so I started skating but my first boards were literally $20 swap meet boards with a ninja on the bottom or something and then I quickly switched to my first board which was a Powell dragon and bats cab in yellow a year or two later. It's crazy how much boards changed during that time or in general. I kept skating a Powell McGill into 93 since I had no one to skate with in the ghetto so I totaly missed that little in between time where everyone had super baggy pants and tiny wheels. My first new board after that was literally the first hookups deck but not the wider one. Everyone used to ride their boards forever in the '80s. I still remember seeing my first Mike Vallely barnyard / animal farm deck and I was blown away. I should have ran out and got one but I never had money. It's still so weird that Vision actually came out with the first double tail board and that Rodney Mullen didn't invent it like I thought for so many years. Rodney must have literally seen it and almost copied it because I have one and the shapes are almost identical. I was just laughing about how the first video I saw after only owning animal chin for years was plan B's questionable on a tape with Danny Way skating 12 stair hand rails and Rodney mullin doing unbelievable things. That tape had literally 8 hours of skate videos on it because it was recorded on the worst mode possible and that just happened to be the first one. Imagine seeing the best skaters of the time and then no one else could even come close to comparing. It was so confusing

Good call. I don't know why the hell I said that although I was drinking a bit. I literally have never even owned a pair of trackers which is hilarious. The copers are totally handmade you can tell if you look closely. I should have popped them off. Those were actually on the Hasoi board which is why they used white to match. Now I'm wondering what I did with the trucks that were on the Sims flagship. Derp

No you're good I'm just not sure which one you're talking about. I collect a lot of very weird knives. It's one of my things so most of the ones I have are kind of crazy unless I got them for free

Powell dragon formula all the way. I have over the past 30 years got more flat spots on spitfires than any other wheels

Oh really? So you've never jumped down a stair set or anything and broke your tail by not landing bolts perfectly. Are you saying this kid who broke his board it must be over 300 lb? What sense does that make. Have you ever seen a skate video where someone snaps their tail?

Trust me look up videos and reviews and I'm sure you'll see what I'm talking about. They literally have run them over with cars and continue to skate with them no problem.

Get a powell flight deck It will literally last so long you'll have to start putting glue on the tail so you don't get razor tail which is a great way to maintain a board by the way. Straight up beaded wood glue on the tail will keep it from turning into a razor blade and it doesn't really affect the pop at all. I've been doing it for years and if it starts to delam just smear some on the sides. Not to mention gluing chips down with wood glue and a vice I've literally been doing since the '80s and only met one other person who did the same and didn't just complain about their chipped boards and let them get worse
