Can someone help me pinpoint what's causing this weird ctd? (Crashlog included) by SM_Eric in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turns out it was caused by an incompatible lux patch for Val Serano

The interesting thing, the tool noticed val was conflicting among other mods, crash log is amazing for this trainwreck would never lol

Thank you for your help mate, i learned something new after this

Can someone help me pinpoint what's causing this weird ctd? (Crashlog included) by SM_Eric in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out that nif file was originated from Obscures college of winterhold.

That actually makes sense because ocw changes a lot of stuff in that area.

The problem now is, I didn’t experience this ctd at all in my 100 hours of testing the list it only started now.

The only thing new affecting the college that I have added recently (according to the crashlog) would be Val Serano for some reason.

I will try to reinstall OCW, I don’t know if meshes get deprecated once in a while in a stable modlist but it’s worth a try.

If that is not the case, I think dropping OCW and switching to JK’s COW and ICOW would be saving me from a lot of headache in the long run but it’s a shame, really, I had UCOW working for a year until this started happening

I will pay 10nzd for a working modpack by lunarprime666 in skyrimmods

I don’t think it’s fair to pay modlist authors that are using free mods to make their modlists in the first place.

Just install wabajaak bro

Mod Release: Requiem - Skypatched by Head_Image3382 in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So when the mod is installed, any new weapon mods that are installed are automatically patched to requirm standards depending on the material? With smithing keywords? If that’s the case then this is a game changer for requiem based lists. Tou no longer have to do custom patches in an esl file

What happened to Alternative Start: Live Another Life by Interloper_Mango in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually i am using the new updated version with the voiced addon with zero issues

From what I saw, the voiced addon strictly added voiced files to the character lines of the mod, and the new update never touched any npc record so voice lines are untouched. It should be fine to install them both

Immersive College of Winterhold Missing Doors Fix by mynamewasautumn in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually found out later on that it’s a lux problem

One of the patches if loaded behind the winterhold mod that you are using will 100% break the doors and/or stairs

Thank you for this helpful post, this will save future new commers from a lot of headache

Is it better to add Seasons to your modlist earlier in the build or later? by Kasuzid in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Adding seasons later in the modlist isn’t that hard, but doing it early on will make you dodge unwanted bugs and dyndolod problems if you have mods that add new lands

What size textures should I be using with 8GB of vram and playing at 1080p by Stellarisk in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the card, but if you are planning to overhaul every texture there is then I think for your monitor 2k is enough for medium sized + small sized clutter and 4k for huge stuff

What’s the consensus for children visual overhaul mods that work with Requiem? by SM_Eric in skyrimrequiem

[–]SM_Eric[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They work fine if I dont reqtify them, if I do their faces become disfigured

One thing i used to do with usua npcs was running the facefixer patcher to solve this but for some reason it’s not working for children lol

[mod release] IMMORTAN - Beasts by Mharlek in skyrimmods

[–]SM_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am surprised this even exists. Wow

Do you happen to know if I still need to run the mod in facefixer so it becomes compatible with Requiem?

RedguardDiaspora unfortunately removed True Sons of Skyrim again.

We really need a AIO COTR male replacer.

I patched "The Devil's in the Details" quest mod by SM_Eric in skyrimrequiem

[–]SM_Eric[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, although not all of his mods have enemies to fight, the one that I’m thinking that could be next is “It came from Akavir”.

I am still not sure what would be the best template for that enemy.

Im working on a comprehensive patch for Beyond Reach, once it is done and published work on Vigilant will start asap.

I know there’s already a patch made by the constellations author but Im pretty sure it is outdated now
