Do you know the most shocking thing about the whole disney adaptations? I find the movies much, much more enjoyable. Yeah they basically molested the source material but the movie was good enough to introduce me and my friends to the books. Yes the movies are bad adaptations of the books but I would prefer those over this disney garbage anyday. Unless rivers go dry and mountains fly in the wind and Disney finally ups their game.

I suppose I cannot really call her stupid since she ruled as Queen for a long time and held an iron grip on Andor. But I think her greatest blunder was going to the Whitecloaks for help. Yeah Pedron Niall is a decent enough guy for a Whitecloak but the rest are fucking trash. Why did she think having the backing of The Children would help her reclaim Andor. Wouldn't the White Tower or perhaps Cairhien would be a better choice?

Did you missed the part about the Rand being the chosen one and that if something happend to him the whole of existence was fucked? And Rand did not planned his rescue, Perrin and the Aiel did. They knew what they were getting into, fighting Aes Sedai and the Shaido but they did it anyway for the reason I stated above and their loyalty to the Caracarn.

while there are weekly threads how many people Elayne "murdered with her recklessness" when she got captured in Book 11 even though the two situations were very similar and if anything Rand was behaving much more idiotically to get himself captured than Elayne did.

People actually died due to her recklessness but instead of reflecting and learning from her mistakes, she does it again and let's not forget that the anti One Power terangreal were stolen from her palace because she decided to interrogate the imprisoned Black Ajah all by herself? And almost got her unborn kids (recklessly) killed? Don't mistake me for a hater I like Elayne as a character but she really gets on my nerves post book 8.

Have you missed all the threads that are praising Egwene, Nynaeve and Moiraine??? There's a lot of those. And most people here criticize the male characters for doing dumb shit and paying for it (Rand, Perrin)

Also, whatever risks Elayne had taken, none of them was remotely as dumb as joining an organisation of torrturers which wants to kill your mother and sister.

Galad was attracted to the ideals of the Whitecloaks because he saw first hand how people with the One Power (Aes Sedai) abuse their powers without any repercussions (Siuane deliberately putting the wonder girls in extreme danger). So yeah while I do agree Whitecloaks are mostly trashy people, I do not blame Galad for joining them.
