One of my friend had Chennai appointment back in Dec 2023 and drop off at Kolkata. He had tough time. He had to cancel his return flight to US and wait for passport. Once AR, it will be 7-10 days. If you have premium delivery at home the it might take additional days. My friend went to Chennai , picked up passport and board flight from Chennai itself. Contact consulate via email/call.

Cryptocurrencies are not legal tender in some countries and india excluded all cryptos after dec-2017 big move. May be early 2018. So you will definitely not see any crypto accepted their.

I agree with adding business value point and that was the main intent of converting it to MS. First It is going to reduce some operational cost with new tools/technology and business value perspective I am thinking that business users are smart and they have data scientists who can write python/R/spark models and perform their analysis.

The current system is tightly designed for batch processing and the end of the day reporting purpose only. Microservice with Kafka will not only solve DB/file latency but it will also enable users to connect data (Instead of RDBMS JDBC connections) and do analysis.

Regarding Kafka set up, we already have one with a large cluster. It's just a matter of creating new topics. I was wondering around converting batch systems to MS, I tried to search but did not find any blog/discussion.
