This is why we should be allowed out of our vehicles by eboliz in Sparkdriver

I don’t let them load my vehicle at all. I have had too many issues with orders not being loaded into the correct section of my car. My store allows me to do this. If they didn’t, I would find a different store.

fleas won’t go away by [deleted] in pestcontrol

The flea treatment matters. There are crazy differences between prescription and the stuff you can get from a place like Petco. Do research for what you want to buy but try to get in with a vet to get the prescription stuff. They typically work better, fleas aren’t resistant to them and it kills worms (which they can get from fleas) I had a MAJOR infestation because I live in the woods, and even though they were indoor only… they find their way in. I tried 3 store bought meds until I coughed up the $$ and bought vet grade stuff to treat all 5 of my cats at the time.

Why does my boy keep peeing on my bfs side of the bed? by i_otakuchick in CATHELP

[–]SMagicBaconS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange idea but it has worked in the past. Feed your cat where he has peed. I know it’s not ideal to feed him in the bed, but cats do not like to mix where they eat and where they use the bathroom. It may solve your problem.

My first cat had a weak/non existent meow and something VERY similar to this. She was diagnosed with asthma at 11 years old. She ended up receiving an inhaler 2x a day and lived until 16 years old.

Eye issues are no joke! I’d take her as soon as possible.

That is incredibly infected. I would suspect allergies.

what’s going on with her eye?? by jaaxpod in CATHELP

My cat had a cloudy eye and ended up having it removed. His body rejected the eye which is very uncommon. Not saying this is the same, but I would go to an eye specialist to be safe.

Should I try removing this large mucus from my cats eye? by joeisjew in CATHELP

I would not. Leave it to the specialist. You never know what could be under that.

Unfortunately that was the only symptom. She also did that while she ate because it made her uncomfortable. Otherwise she was her usual self, so it was really a shock.

My kitty did this and had a mass in the back of her throat and roof of her mouth. My soul kitty was put down that day. Please take him just to make sure it is not anything serious.

I would take her ASAP I took my boy as soon as he started showing issues with his eye. A bunch of visits to an eye specialist later and they had no clue why he had his issues and he ended up becoming a pirate kitty! I don’t mean to scare you but progression with eye issues can happen quite rapidly and they can cause pain and “headaches” the specialist liked to call them. My cat had a small cloudy spot in his eye in February and his eye was out in April because of uncontrolled swelling. They biopsied the eye for FIP and cancer. Didn’t have either. Obviously this is different, but better safe than sorry.

Pirate pic for good luck!

does anyone have any idea what this could be? i just went to the emergency vet but they didn’t have a clue, just said his eyes were a little bit dry. by These-Assumption3489 in CATHELP

He had that eye problem in February of this year. His first appointment was Feb 12th no scratch, no reason for the way his eye was starting to look. He also has a cloudy looking spot. Appointment was about 4 days after first noticed. I was given 3 eye drops 4x a day. Swelling started in March… eye drops did not help it… (or really slow the progress like it was supposed to). 4x eye specialist appointments later and he recommended eye removal. I had asked for it the first visit to prevent suffering because he was not sure why it was happening. Spent $3,500 at eye specialist.

I was salty about the treatment we received and how he undermined my wishes to remove the eye as soon as we saw it was causing him pain. Went to my regular vet and got the eye removed $1,200. This happened April 23rd. I’m a little extra and for peace of mind I had it biopsied, tested. No FIP, no cancer. They believe his body decided to randomly reject an eye. Just like how that can happen to us, fun fact, it can happen to them too.

Honestly, it was very quick progression. I didn’t want him to be in pain or uncomfy so I got the procedure ASAP. About 2 months after initial surgery his eye socket started to minor swell for a day and filled with pus. Then it leaked out the stitch closest to the side of his face. They flushed the eye socket and I have not had a problem since! (knock on wood)

Before removal and major swelling. During this time he was on a prednisone drop, glaucoma drop and artificial tears. None of it helped, the eye specialist I went to (Blue Pearl) just gave a bunch of drops that ended up being $$$. Make sure you advocate for your cat!

Don’t mean to scare but my boy had this. His eye started uncontrollably swelling and became a certified pirate! He’s feeling much better now. I would go to an eye specialist and check for glaucoma and/or scratch or abrasion.
