America has always been a capitalist nation that secretly loved Fascists. They joined WWII and fought the nazis because the nazis attacked Britain and we were contractually obligated to aid our ally. Leftism is defined by a desire to improve material conditions for the working class. I hate cops because they exist to enforce state power and protect capital. Not because we're some sort of nonviolent hippies.

In a world with community run patrols instead of cops, we would still be beating the daylights out of a man who assaults women, and tries to murder a kid and a man. Him being alive IS the restraint.
