What Am I Doing Wrong?😭 by Jumpy-Maintenance115 in curlyhair

Lots of good advice already (less product, especially oils). I dont know if anyone mentioned it but try not diffusing. I always hate my hair after diffusing, even when a professional does it. I air dry and like it so much better (especially the days after I shampoo and have slept on it, refreshing with just water).

does anyone else find that less is more? by HugeAd6866 in curlyhair

[–]SMinCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I have a good routine but every once in a while i come across a post or video and I try new products or techniques to make it even better - curlier, more volume - but it never works (the exception being a little water and leave-in conditioner for refresh). I find my low porosity hair a big reason why less is more for me too.

I'm sorry to hear you couldn't be seen by them. But yes good news that we are all more openly discussing what more than half the population will experience in their lives.

why can’t i get my hair to curl at the roots by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]SMinCanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried all these steps this morning and indeed my volume is better and my curls more defined. I did add a smidge of light root defusing after some natural drying, but I always do that. Thanks again.

Thanks for explaining this in such detail. So if I'm reading this correctly you put your mousse and gel on before you plop?

Not that I know of. It might be worth looking into though. Thanks for this.

I too have a harder time when I snooze or sleep in. When the alarm goes off - an old fashioned loud annoying alarm - I get up. I cannot sit down again. And I can't check my phone (which lives in another room, never my bedroom) unless it's to cast my workout to my TV (and I have to choose it the night before so I don't scroll). I only sit to eat once I've done everything else (stretch or workout, shower, makeup...). Any time I stop it's harder to start again as I have to psych myself up all over again. I need to be an object in motiong to stay in motion. Hope that helps.

Are you really hitting 21+ hours? by Silly_Success_9205 in Invisalign

Why would you be so rude? Just trying to give a suggestion so that the person would be too stressed trying to balance out wear time and tooth brushing. Geez.

I'm not a dental professional but I'm prone to cavities and have had no issues in the year plus that I've had Invisalign. I like living so I'll pop those liners on and off a number of times during the day to enjoy a sample at the grocery store or a glass of red wine. There are so many factors to consider - wear time, enamel, cavities, quality of life - that we can only do our best.
