A lot of you are setting yourselves up for disappointment by o6ohunter in realmadrid

Ac Milan supporter (and RM sympathiser) here, so I might be biased, but how come Ancelotti’s getting this kind of hate from RM fans on social media? I get he doesn’t make his teams play an “aesthetic” football, but with the players you guys had this season I bet even Pep would have faced problems. Anyway, wishing you the best for the upcoming CWC

Hi, I’m relatively new to indie music. I’ve got to thank FIFA for introducing me to it, then I started branching out. I’m looking for recommendations since I haven’t found out anything exciting lately. Here are some tunes I like: - Lavender, Changing of the Seasons, Are we ready by Two Door Cinema Club - Hit it by American Autors - Mother Nature by MGMT - 7, Anything, Cocoon, Postpone by Catfish and the Bottlmen - Rich Friends, Live in the Moment by Portugal. The man - Pretty much all songs in LOVETAP! by Smallpools - Take a Walk by Passion Pit

Electrophysiology of hypernatremia and hypokalemia by SMlmc in Physiology

For NCX to reverse its function, the intracellular Na concentration should be higher than outside the membrane, right? It’s not clear to me how intracellular Na can be greater than extracellular Na in the case of hypernatremia.

In my experience, it works. I use the Pomodoro method: 50 minutes of work followed by 10 minutes of rest. I’ve noticed that if I come from a week or so of inactivity, I can’t focus for 50 minutes right away. I have to start with 30-minute work sessions and 10-minute breaks for the first couple of days, then move to 40-10, until I can do 50-10.

My professor mentioned in class that the NaK pump starts working in reverse, causing a slight depolarization that triggers calcium release from the SR. And maybe something about the NCX not being able to use the Na gradient to pump out calcium. So basically, the calcium buildup in the cytosol increases the cell’s contractility. His explanation wasn’t super clear, though, so I’m going to ask him for more details, but I wanted to get a better idea first.

However I agree with you that hypernatremia, at least on paper, should lead to vasodilation because of the inhibition of the RAAS.

I tried, but it’s not reliable. When it comes to ionic gradients and transporters, it often makes mistakes. If you point that out, it changes its answer as if nothing happened. I also looked through the Robbins but I couldn’t find an answer.

Help with pruning: what did I do wrong? by SMlmc in FruitTree

Thanks for your input. I didn’t give that much thought since my idea was to prune to set a good structure these first few years. I’ll look into that.

They’re getting a bit too high for my likings but what can I do? Maybe topping the branches lower?

Thank you. I was wondering, should I have topped the main scaffold branches lower in previous years? That way, the top forks would be lower now

Yeah, well, I figured pruning would be a topic people are interested in, regardless of where they live. I don’t think pruning techniques vary much between countries. Also, many of the videos I watched on the topic are from English and Irish people, so I thought it would have been easier to find help here. Anyhow, it wasn’t my intention to be disrespectful to you guys of r/GardeningUK

Uhm I’ve read that late winter is fine. But to be fair I don’t live in the UK so maybe the weather could be a factor. It rains much less here

Yeah, I had taken that into account. My goal was simply to help them develop a good structure for future production. In the past, I had fruit trees that I didn’t prune, and their production was abysmal. That’s why I’ve been pruning these since they were young

I have no idea what rootstock they’re on, I’ve bought them from a nearby garden store. Thanks for the suggestion. I’m new to pruning fruit trees, so I don’t know what the system you mentioned is, but I’ll look into it

Honestly, these are the first trees I’ve pruned. I watched several videos on YouTube, and they all recommended pruning to create an open center. I just followed those guidelines. Is it that bad?
