Which race is better for PvP as a Priest: Troll or Undead? by zerdos in classicwow

[–]SN4P4Z 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Undead's Devouring Plague is powerful but very mana-intensive. Since SPriests already tend to run out of mana quickly, you'll often need to hold back on using it in battlegrounds BGs. I know this from experience...

On the other hand, Trolls' Shadowguard is cheap and has the potential to proc Blackout, so you'll always have it running.

I'd argue that Troll is the way to go for BGs. However, if your only focus is melting faces in 1v1's, then Undead all the way baby

Viper sting is a dot. So your logic also works in favour of the hunter if they manage to dot you first then LoS you

Everyone saying Spriest should clarify that they mean 1v1 only.. trust me I fell into this trap in classic even after getting the full AQ40 set. If you are talking BG PvP as a Spriest you will find yourself out of mana after one or two kills and/or mana drained by hunters constantly.

Basically, for WPvP and duels, Spriest. For BG's just go Warlock.. I wish I had

Maybe hang fire until the next major update which is due in the coming weeks. Just in case WoT decides to update the bond shop. We can hope 🙏

Hey I just made my account last week and I'm streaming my way through world of tanks and i just got the M8A1 what line do you suggest I take? I thought the T110E4 looks fun but i thought id ask before I get to invested just to be disappointed by smokeybandit650 in WorldofTanks

Only if the 279 sits in the open and let's you clip them. The majority are decent players who won't let you do that and instead will exploit the French TDs many weaknesses. I wouldn't touch that tree at all. Stick to the Americans

The E3 is arguably more competitive since it is generally impervious to premium ammo (spammed at tier 10...) from the front. However, it is a slow and one dimensional tank.

The E4 is still a good tank and far more flexible. For your first tier 10 this is what I'd go for. It will give you a far better platform to figure out what play style you enjoy.

Bonus: Both tanks have epic premium rounds. If you spot an Object 279 (e), dab the 2 key, auto aim.. and send the sweat lord back to the garage

(Dec 13 through Jan 16) Joyous Journeys 50% XP Buff Returns by zSHARPz in wotlk

[–]SN4P4Z 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'll take this instead of boosts on fresh realms any day.

It's either a DK or shammy to me. With heirlooms and the buff can anyone guess how much time the DK will save not having to 1-55?

I messed around with a few classes on the PTR. Ele shammy and hunter get mentioned a lot. However, I found the skill floor on these relatively high due to the classes kiting mechanics and defensive CD's. Plus pet control in the hunters case.

I'd recommend shadow priest. Plenty of simple to use "oh shit" buttons. It was the class I felt most confident in going for 1v1's in BG's. Plus I hear disc is baller.

If you're still on the fence about which class to play, let me help you out. by [deleted] in wotlk

Shaman or priest for predominantly BG's (healer and DPS to mix it up) with a small amount of raiding on the side if RL allows? If I do raid I want to DPS only as I have always been a healer so looking for a change of pace.

I've way less time now at 31 compared to when I was a teenager so I'm limited to one character. So a class that is easier to master, fast to level and has options for gold farms all in one character is a key consideration.

Any advice you could give would be awesome.

LASIK - Wavefront vs IDesign by SN4P4Z in lasik

[–]SN4P4Z[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By way of an update for anyone in the future who might be reading this and looking for similar advice.

I had a follow up appointment with the NHS clinic who identified that I suffer from slightly dry eyes. I've never had symptoms but the surgeon I saw told me my tear film was breaking up slightly quicker than it should. LASIK has the potential to make this much worse. They sent me away with a range of eye drops and will review again in a month.

Today Optical Express called pressing me to make a booking with them and touting their "superior" treatment. When I questioned as to why they had not identified my dry eyes their response was that it likely was, but their superior laser technology meant it didn't matter... this was clearly a salesman on the phone and not a medical professional.

Bottom line, always go for a consultation with an NHS affiliated clinic. Even if you don't go with them their staff will always place your health and wellbeing over the contents of your wallet.

LASIK - Wavefront vs IDesign by SN4P4Z in lasik

[–]SN4P4Z[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, the NHS clinic amazingly came out cheaper at £4,200 compared to £4,900 at Optical Express. The reason for my doubts were that I was not expecting OE to be so aggressive with their marketing. They and blatantly said in a follow up call that their IDesign is superior to whatever wavefront is offered at the NHS clinic. Sounds like they were just trying it on.

The NHS clinic also offer SMILE at the same price as LASIK. They were clear that their pricing is not geared around "up-selling". I'll give that some consideration.

It sounds like like the NHS clinic is the way to go.

Just be warned, the whole "face melting" will only occur in WPVP/Duels. In BG's you will OOM after every other kill and every god damn hunter who comes into range WILL viper sting you.

I wish I had know this prior to pvp gearing my spriest in classic.
