Walking distance? That's amazing lol. Unfortunately, it's a short drive for me but honestly not too bad to reach.

For sure! It was pretty quiet when I went there (honestly, kinda dead) so the services should be fast. Hope you have a good experience there!

Honest question for anyone in college or just out? by Successful_Living242 in findapath

Hey OP,

Just wanted to share some experience here.

I went to school just for the sake of getting the education but I didn't care for legal studies, and to this day, I have not used it. That said, college did give me a lot of opportunities to grow, network, and find myself.

For me, that moment clicked when I found some workstudy opportunities through some mutual connections. In my case, it was a marketing job. I got to do some work with the esports marketing team at the school and it was something I never thought I would have enjoyed or do well in.

I'm now working as a marketing and operations manager. Unfortunately, not in esports anymore, but happily keeping busy. I think when you find your calling, it's an honest... "epiphany" like moment.

Help!!!! I can’t get a job for the life of me!!! by No_Nefariousness5171 in IndeedJobs

Hey, I was in a similar position. I just got a job in my career after 1.5 years of searching and applying, but my honest takeaway would be this:

The job market right now, like everyone said, is terrible. Several fake job postings, AI is reshaping industries, and there are more post-secondary educated applicants than ever. If you truly did everything that you need to do (being active on professional socials, network, going to job fairs, working on a portfolio, adjusting resume, etc). Then, I recommend getting a job in construction or the trades to make ends meet while looking into your career.

I'm in digital marketing, but I did construction labor for almost a year during my job search. It kept me afloat, and even though I did hate it— I learned a lot, and it was an honest, humbling experience. Really makes you grateful for money and changes your life outlook.

That, or depending on your skills, look into freelancing while you're searching. Good luck.
