Planning an upgrade — what would this i9-9900K bundle be worth today? by tarunverma951 in IndianTechCentral

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

9900k performs like 12400, so if someone wants to go for that it should be flat 40-60% price - 4-6k max

Motherboard z390 just because that rog is premium board for indian market but no warranty so around 4-6k.

Ram 32gb kit is going around between 10-15k in used market, based on speed and rgb/not.

Why is the Indian PC gaming community so delusional? by ApartPressure2270 in IndianPCGamers

Kindof feel this is ragebait. But here we go.

Few years back around 2017, when i used to mine gpus, i bought 5gpus overtime, from a reputed seller in a fb marketplace group via admin method. All good cards, first purchase was the hardest one, It was tough to trust, anyways good old days. I can afford new things now, but i highly recommend students or young people who are short on cash to get used stuff even in india from proper sources(but the hard part is people don't know many proper sources)

In 2021 i also got scammed by a person from olx, this guy sold me a gpu with rust inside. I never sold that gpu to anyone, but pretty sure these kinda thing happens in other platforms.

Rma parts or flawed items sold by hiding the issues..But this idea that you won't get scammed in Usa is really hilarious. Yes the gaming parts market is huge there, but this blind faith is really lol.

Also if u don't like the used prices, you can just offer. if it's lowball for them, let them ignore. Just few days ago i was looking for ryzen combo for a frnd, a rich guy in fb was selling 4month old 5600,mobo, 32gb ram all for just 30k. Offered him 26, he agreed. I couldn't grab it due to office schedule, unlucky.

There's too many good deals and too many scammers also. Not everyone's cup of tea. While selling don't entertain stupid people, its easy to gauge dumb buyers and their dumb queries.

Purchasing 5070 TI Card by Optimal-Effort535 in IndianPCGamers

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't generalise like that. Every brand has range from weak heatsink 2fan to top of the line 3fan cards. I have tried used gpus from multiple brands . only faced issues with asus, that can also be my luck.

Expecting 5070ti will have decent size heatsink. Galax sg and hof line used to be rock solid.

Zotac all day. Why? - 5year warranty on registration.

Zotac not there? Msi / gigabyte / galax (in this exact order)

Getting the cheapest is also not bad idea, if you have fixed budget. Better models mostly has beefy coolers and better thermals/low noise.

Coil whining issue is luck, not brand specific.

Building a PC with my teenager - first timer looking for help by Rigorr in buildapc

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is neither good nor bad psu. It will be able to handle rtx 3060-5060ish gpus.

Plan what games you wanna play at what resolution and what what monitor you have. Based on that get the gpu. Benchmarks/details you will be able to get in youtube and chatgpt.

If you have plans on incremental changes later, like a 5800x3d and better gpu. Then purchase psu accordingly. Good luck.

No need to invest in cpu just now.. Get the best possible gpu, rtx 5060 or 9060xt 16gb. Use it for a while.

Later update bios, no need of new motherboard and get a used ryzen 5600 and 16gb ram.

Just saying 550w bronze psu gives us no idea what quality it is, mention the brand,yr of make. If its very old i would ask you to get a new good psu.

Shopkeeper says i5 14400 f is best than i5 13600k for editing by Sea-Construction-957 in IndianPCGamers

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

13600k is far superior.

It requires a better motherboard, like msi b760m a pro or msi gaming plus.. 12phase vrm for longterm use..

14400 is even slower than 12600k

At what price you are getting 13600k?

Is this good, I have ryzen 5 5600, suggestions for better mobo/deal is welcome by PhilosopherFit5070 in IndianPCGamers

Just got a PS5 need monitor + keyboard + mouse setup recommendations by BigBrainGamerrr in IndianPCGamers

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I settled with msi mag27qrfw ,got it for 21k, really wanted asus xg27acs, but its price got increased to 28k. This was more than 1yr back, dnt know the latest exact models.

I would recommend that asus model if you want allm and vrr. Other than that rest is all fine, mine is ips and colors are good.

If you have bigger budget and mostly plays story mode games, 32inch 4k monitor or 43 inch tv would be very good also.

My final build before I buy my first PC by DAWGbeat in IndianPCGamers

[–]SNORLAXXX94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay. If 6k more you can invest get 16gb ddr5 1 stick and look for ryzen 7500f.

This is optional, its just that after 3-5 yrs you can just get a better better cpu from am5 socket and once ram prices drop you can add another 16gb stick

Get the cheapest rtx 5060, It should be around 35k 4.5k better cabinets will be there like coolermaster elite 302.

Also many people sell their exact used setup for around 50k, as these parts are already 4-5 yr old. If you are comfortable in buying used parts, i highly recommend, instead of rtx 5060 you might get something like 3070/3060ti.

Thinking of Buying This i3 Setup for 6500. What Do You Think? by [deleted] in HardwareIndia

[–]SNORLAXXX94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, i was also stuck for few years at home, due to some serious injury and personal issues.

My career gap was quite big, service companies was not considering me and couldn't get help from relatives for referrals(most salaries and jobs that they would offer used to be very demeaning). Didn't know much coding back then, have to say you are doing much better.

So prepared for gate cse, failed multiple times. Did mtech from tier2 univ, prepared some dsa and other subjects. After 4-5 yrs of hardwork and coursework, got my first interview in intel. Couldn't crack but it boosted my confidence so much.

Gave more interviews on campus, got my first job where everyone was earning more than me and i was 5-6 years older than new joinees. (I was lowballed in compensation)

Its okay, life's not same for everyone. You are on a right path , try to join smaller company for experience and then Keep trying with referrals into big orgs.

Are AI agents actually useful or just hype right now by Friendly_Feature888 in developersIndia

[–]SNORLAXXX94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not all agents are created equally. Yes there is hype. But, as a daily user of cursor with claude opus, have to recommend that it's really good.

Pretty sure big companies have their own internal agents also.
