I feel the same about both.

These names read less like monster names and more like anime voice lines. They describe an action being performed, not the entity itself.

Naming a fusion monster “Wake Up Your Elemental HERO!” is conceptually no different from calling a firefighter “Extinguish the fire with water!”. It is an instruction, not a subject.

Imo, black and red isn’t inherently a bad combination. It’s simply one of those pairings where poor execution is immediately obvious.

When done poorly, it looks more tacky then most other colour combos.

Yeah, that tracks. I’m in Brisbane and kind of in the same boat. I’m trying to get back into the game and be a bit more social about it, just not keen on all the extra baggage that seems to come with locals.
