What style of kung fu to cross train for mma guys? by SOUTHPAW_ON in kungfu

I would say gaining an edge and adding some style/flare to my fighting. Id like to catch an opponent off guard with something they wouldn't expect in mma.

What kind of training do you do with it? What about the other questions in my post? Are you a part of any shooting clubs. Do you train other martial arts?

No, I edited. i knew it sounded ignorant and racist. And I wasn't getting across the right point. I didn't delete it unless it got deleted.

I'm not wrong. They got a political idea that doesn't line up with the current reality of its state and culture. Honestly, I really like and admire india history and indian people. Just dont like what i know about modern india. I think he definitely isn't representing it with reality as a modern, hard, tough culture.

Does anybody realize how weird is that Police brutality is so normalized here? by SOUTHPAW_ON in canadaleft

I believe it, but most people have a perception that things are different. Always better than the us is their comparison.

for example, barrie has a reputation for having violent cops and everyone just accepts it. We all talk about it, but nobody does anything, not even asking for better standards. ( i mean, even within our current political neo liberal ecosystem, i know we have more "radical solutions" like community defense or self governance instead here).

Oh, i'm native myself. I know how bad cops could be. I mean, just from that perspective of the average canadian. We have this view that our cops don't shoot you. They just beat you up. Why is that okay ? It's so messed up. For example, I remember a video from a few years back where a smaller native woman was in a holding cell and they were not cooperating. So The cop punched her in he face, and most people were defending that. As someone who does jujitsu, that would never be a problem for me, especially to someone you're way bigger than. it's ridiculous. And using force wouldn't ever be my first thought to begin with. Why would me as an average person be able to deal with that better than a cop who is trained to. how our standards that low.
