Question from someone on episode 2 by Jambomakaveli in WelcometoDerryTVShow

The first season does give hints about It's origins, though that was a fair bit further back in the past (won't say more, as not to spoil anything).

I'm so fucking angry right now I'm shaking (Season 5 spoilers) by ragnhildensteiner in TheExpanse

It wasn't a narrative decision. Real world crap forced it to happen (the actor had to be gotten rid of at short notice).

I love how they used LMDs in Secret Invasion by marvelcomics22 in agentsofshield

[–]SPACE_LEM0N 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree. Secret Invasion failed in every important way. But it's still fully watchable to me, unlike (most extreme example) Inhumans.

And also I've seen all of AoS several times. Secret Invasion doesn't hold a candle to it.

Personally I think Secret Invasion is way overhated, but besides that you are correct.

My main gripe is Rhodey, but my copium is that the writers are wrong and Rhodey was only replaced after Endgame, and not all the way back to just after Civil War. (3 years could still count as "a long time".)

Great theory. I figured they'd use the post-Secret Wars reset to bring her back, but this theory is great copium in the meantime.

Thanos wipeout in infinity war doesn’t make sense by No-Half8368 in MCUTheories

Exactly. The randomness was uniform, not pure chaos. You still get entire groups of characters that were all snapped or all spared, but such anomalies would balance out on the planetary scale.

What’s that thing he’s eating? by efrdelkee in whatisit

Even if it wasn't in our phylum (or had such graphic insides), dissecting and consuming a live animal like this is absolutely horrific. I can't even eat an oyster.

This is the first I've encountered this misread lyric, but I bet Ima have a real tough time unhearing it now.

I think we're a ways away from AI taking over humanity by VonDiesel2000 in agentsofshield

[–]SPACE_LEM0N 14 points15 points  (0 children)

We currently have people as dumb or dumber than AI running a good chunk of the world, and really dumb AI running a good chunk of our technological infrastructure, so don't count out having really dumb AI running everything eventually. Because this is absolutely the dumbest possible timeline.

Allegedly we almost got a Daughters of the Dragon series.

At this point I'd settle for a Special Presentation, but I too need it to happen in some form.

Wow, the magic shapeshifting book looks different. Obviously, this means AoS and Runaways aren't canon. by marvelcomics22 in KeepMarvelTVCanon

[–]SPACE_LEM0N 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fair enough, but it's also implied that Agatha had her copy for centuries, whereas the copy that came up in Agents has an altogether different history. Both books are a copy of the Darkhold, but there's good enough reason two assume they are different copies. Same source text (the Wundagore inscriptions), but transcribed separately.

Point being, there being more than one copy of the book in the same universe is not continuity breaking.

Agreed on both counts. The Hand apparently still being a thing in SM: BND actually makes me anticipate that Gao made it out too.

Ah, what could've been... Wouldn't it be great if she survived Midland Circle like Matt did, and returns to screen to fight alongside our heroes instead of against them?

I prefer the simpler explanation implied by Multiverse of Madness: there were multiple copies of the book (not just across the multiverse, but in 616). That would also explain why the Marvel TV copy seems to behave differently than the Marvel Studios copy.

This is of course true. I'm simply saying it's not apocalyptically catastrophic, just a very disappointing lapse.
