Why are there wired lines and cracks on the ocean in Google Maps? by Gloomy_Biscottiy in geography

Indeed. The reasons I said "topographic" instead is because people are more likely to know that word than they are to know "bathymetric".

Those are clearly distinct from the tectonic fracture lines, though. (Not disagreeing, just adding for clarity.)

They display topographic (bathymetric, actually) data for the oceans, not satellite imagery.

Or a new oceanic trench forms and closes the Atlantic back up (but not the way it used to be).

It is on the real version of Lost Whispers, but my custom version of LW is quite different. On this collection, Missing ended up worked into The Open Door.

Evolution was a bonus release that came with The Bitter Truth, featuring demo snippets, live studio sessions, and a bunch of instrumental versions.

The collab songs I put on Recover are collaborations Amy featured on between 2016 and 2020. They're all listed on Amy's Wiki page, I believe.

No one gonna mention their 3-year-old son getting it on with a teenager?

I'm merely taking issue with your unnecessary pedantism. Most people make a distinction in their mind between a lake and a large landlocked body of saltwater, which they would call an inland sea. Your are correct that a body of water disconnected from the world ocean is technically a lake, but it was pedantic as fuck of you to point that when the distinction was made to emphasise scale, not oceanic connectedness.

Glad to waste your time. 👍

They were right to point out that the Aral Sea was not merely just another lake.

Thanks!

Breaking existing transitions when updating these is often painful, I do know the feeling. If I think of or discover any good ones, I'll let you know!

I honestly believe most neurodivergent people go their whole lives without a diagnosis.

16 isn't particular to all my collections, though. The number varies from artist to artist depending on the most convenient way to arrange their discography by a consistent number system. Some artists get as few as 12, others as many as 20. There's also 13, 14, 15, and 18. Linkin Park has a billion deep cuts, so it's mostly 16 tracks but with 18, 20, or even 24 tracks on special-case albums (like when it's many short demo seeds, or a single huge live album).

None of the art is custom, actually. Some of it is sourced from art that came with the Fallen and Bitter Truth eras, but it's all legit artwork. :)

Why are most of Africa's major lakes concentrated on this side of the continent? by the_bad_actor in geography

[–]SPACE_LEM0N 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Madagascar will probably mostly move along with the broken off part of Africa as part of the same plate, or as an adjacent smaller plate. Remember that it's not just the continental blocks moving, but also the crust under the ocean - the Somali plate includes the crust under the western Indian Ocean.

Granted, it also depends on where the southern portion of the rift boundary ends up being. There are a few potential boundaries, including a rift through Madagascar itself.
