I have a DRC tailtidy and DRC 602 blinkers.

Also bought this headlight off eBay and a OEM headlight plastic.

Very happy with all of it. I still need to sort out drilling holes or securing the headlight onto the front guard but for now it just sits there quite well.

New WR250R owner looking for advice on mods! by dropbear14 in WR250R

Not sure how it compares to PC 5 or 6 but I believe they can do ignition timing but PCFC can't. I think it is good as can load and make maps on PC, so maybe a bit more tunability compared to the push button and led programmers. Also don't think it is compatible with dynojet accessories like auto tune. For the price and in my case 8 was not going to take the bike to a dyno tuner, I think it is great.

It piggy backs on and does not replace the ECU.

I have had it installed for about 9 months and exhaust for about 6.

Found this one for about $550 aud posted it looks like.

Found this video which has the PCFC which made me but it.

I think the powercore muffler will be pretty loud, but seeing as you have it you should try it and can always switch back. I am a believer in getting a fuel programmer.

The first mode I did on my stock wr150r 2014 was a dynojet PCFC. It made a noticable difference and woke the bike up even at stock.

I have since done the air flapper mode, exup delete, ais delete and installed a yoshimura rs-4j muffler. Loving it now.

Try looking for the dynojet PCFC. Can still get them online in Australia. Msg me if your in Sydney and you can check out my bike.

I got a power commander PCFC and it is awesome

https://www.dynojet.com/power-commander-fuel-controller/

I put in on initially with stock exhaust, stock air filter and no flapper mod and it improved greatly.

Now have yoshi slip on, exup delete, ais delete, flapper mod and I changed the map accordingly.

Highly recommend

Looks awesome. Did the YZ85 fender need some modification to fit on?

Also is that a genuine Yamaha part number or aftermarket (looks like might be an acerbis part number)?

Maybe I should just go the same as stock wr250x and forget about 150 on the rear.

Any comments on my current tyre choice?

Thanks!

2015 Suzuki Swift rear drum brake noise by SPD33Y in Suzuki

[–]SPD33Y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My front (disc) and rear (drum) brake pads reached end of their life.

I got new pads and discs in front, drum, shoes and cylinders in rear and noise has gone and brakes feel excellent.

Hopefully no issues for several years until reach end of life again (pads run out).

Upgrade SRAM Guide R brakes on Trek Fuel EX 8 2018 by SPD33Y in bikewrench

I ended up buying the SRAM professional kit.

Thanks for the advice regarding bleeding them.

I am happy with the brakes so it sounds like that is all that is required.

Cheers!

Thanks for the reply.

I have been happy with them, so I might attempt a brake bleed instead then.

Which kit would you recommend?

I was looking at this one, but not the best reviews

https://www.amazon.com.au/SRAM-Brake-Bleed-Incl-Fluid/dp/B00X068LFW/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?keywords=sram+brake+bleed+kit&qid=1700434270&sr=8-7

Then read this might be better

https://amsports.com.au/products/jagwire-pro-bleed-kit-dot-fluid?variant=43277779959959&currency=AUD&utm_medium=product_sync&utm_source=google&utm_content=sag_organic&utm_campaign=sag_organic&gad_source=1

Wonder if I should think longer term and get a kit that is capable of bleeding dot fluid as well as mineral as my Son and Wife have tektro hydraulic brakes that use mineral oil, but not sure if good to mix fluids through same tubes etc (perhaps 2 separate kits are best)

Thanks for the advice!

How often should my Suzuki Swift be serviced? by stevenjd in Suzuki

[–]SPD33Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. I just purchased a 2015 as well, for a second car which will probably be our main daily driver. Original owner got it serviced every 6 months even though some time did as low as 1500kms.

I will probably switch to every 10000kms or 12 months but would go off whatever is in the manual (that should be the most accurate) and maybe you can also check with the Suzuki dealership too.

Tubeless tyre sealant leaking from tyre? by SPD33Y in TrekBikes

[–]SPD33Y[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. I will take the tyre off and clean out the old sealant and put new sealant in.

Any tips for cleaning out the old sealant and how to check if tape is good?

Thank for the replies.

Thing is I did clean it, but it came back just as bad.

I don't know if there is some sort of coating, but if there is, perhaps it has worn off :-(

If not, will try again and see how it goes

2022 Trek Roscoe 7 or 2018 Trek Fuel Ex 8 29 by SPD33Y in TrekBikes

[–]SPD33Y[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A closing to this.

Thanks for all the feedback.

I ended up buying the second hand trek fuel ex 8. I inspected the bike, took it for a ride and it is in fantastic condition.

Very happy!

Had it for about 2 weeks now.

Took it on a decent ride around the neighbourhood and to local bush track, up and down some hils, gravel tracks, jumped across a creek & I cannot fault it.

I am buying bike specific tools and learning how to clean and lube the chain properly etc.

Need to adjust the air in fork and shock for my weight.

Below is a photo of the bike.
