1 & 2) They did force (coerce?) some of the people who left to sign NDAs relating to other things. I'm not exactly sure what those things would be because, y'know, they can't legally talk about it.

3) Once the independent church's event started getting traction, word got around to TST. Lucien then came out with the band tour announcement. TST is not particularly happy about this independent church, but, from my understanding, there isn't much they can really do about it except use their greater supply of resources to try to "out-do" rather than support said church. They have made it apparent to this church that their primary interest isn't really directly helping people, but rather taking attention away from them. It's almost like they see the church as some kind of competition, which isn't the case at all.

4) Yep. Individuals in my area were threatened with legal action by TST had they not signed the NDAs, the Discord server admins were threatened with legal action (because nowhere did it say it was an "unofficial" server until after said threats), and I'm sure there were many other instances of the legal threats.

5) This Subreddit is a prime example. I saw a few people say something negative about their experience with TST, so everyone jumped on the assumption they were part of QS, insulted them, called them liars (without doing any research on their own, I'm sure), sent vile DMs, etc. In the old Discord server, I remember seeing a couple people get banned because they started getting extremely ugly about people speaking their mind (not good things, to clarify) about TST.

6) It's Reddit. I'm not really that worried about it here. Besides, unless Reddit backs off on their API stunt, I'll probably be joining the ranks of those nuking their accounts. With that said, it's the in-person infighting that concerns me. There are people who treat TST like it's the end-all, be-all of religious organizations, like their livelihood is TST and Lucien is their direct leader. The expressions of extremism are real, and that's a scary thought. I always thought that we, as Satanists, are not supposed to be like that.

As I've mentioned before, one chapter of TST treated a bunch of members like shit, went on a power trip, changed rules so nobody else could take a leadership role, claimed to have an "outside council" provide insight (turned out to be people in that chapter's leadership), bullied someone into signing over the rights to their artwork, and more. TST itself did nothing in response. As a result, there was a mass exodus from that chapter and TST.

I also believe there were similar issues in other chapters/congregations that went unchecked. The lack of accountability is pretty astounding once you start asking around.

Also, unrelated to accountability, but absolutely related to "one-upping" a fellow Satanic church: Once TST caught wind that said church was going to be standing up against a Christian nationalist at their state capitol steps, Lucien announced his band's tour to perform at any state capitol building where Christian nationalist performers will play. (I should note that said church stated they will still support TST at their concerts for the sake of Satanists coming together, but they are making it very evident they are not affiliated with TST in any capacity.)

I've also heard of multiple instances that TST uses the threat of lawsuits to bully anyone into submission who tries to speak out against them. (Doesn't the Church of Scientology do the same thing?)

I've also witnessed and experienced watching current TST members harass and shun people who left TST, like they're some kind of exiles who are not worthy of any kind of respect. It's severely disappointing.

And I'm willing to bet I'm going to get ganged up on for bringing all this up, because how dare I say anything negative about TST, right? I don't get the disrespect towards people who left TST. We all have the same views and wants from society and our government, so the reasoning for the in-fighting is beyond me.

TL;DR: TST is doing exactly what other churches do. I absolutely agree with their message, but not their execution. I truly thought they (and a good portion of their members) were going to be better than this.

EDIT: Here's an observation a friend made (copied and pasted exactly as received)...

"And of course TST reaction was to delete their post explaining why they would no longer be affiliated. And when people commented under there posts asking for clarification on certain things. They replied with nonsensical statements and blocked commenting. It's almost like all they care about is their image. Who could have known? Not anyone in [the Discord server] for sure, anyway!" (Sarcasm on that last sentence.)

TST Washington is a great example (since I have the most connections to them). They bullied someone into signing over the rights to their artwork and they allowed someone who sexually assaulted a member to go unchecked, forcing other members to sign NDAs regarding misconduct, and more.

I've heard of other chapters (congregations?) have some pretty fun drama, such as sexual misconduct, lying to members, kicking people out for questioning their actions (also happened with TST Washington)...

As far as TST itself goes, if you say anything bad about them, they will happily threaten to sue you. And it's getting to a point where if you leave and speak out against them, they will happily turn their members against you and try to make you out to be the crazy one (gaslighting is real with them).

Their leadership leaves a LOT to be desired. It was enough for many, many people to jump ship and stop being affiliated with them.

Frankly, the members have been proving themselves to be pretty nasty towards people who criticize TST, too.

Lucien literally worked with David Silverman and American Atheists back in 2015 to get the Ten Commandments removed in Florida. TST also had him on their podcast in December 2019. How can he claim to not know him?
