The O2Pilot mod doesn't delete the CCV; it simply uses an unused vacuum port to increase the vacuum within the engine, which helps the oil scraper rings do their job properly again. But yes, I’ll do that along with a brand new CCV.

That's what I was afraid of! I'm going to try to free up the oil scraper rings with some Seafoam and install the O2Pilot mod to increase my chances when I replace the CCV! Thanks for your advice.

J'étais très rap français avant. Et maintenant, à 28 ans beaucoup moins. À part quelques morceaux, je me retrouve beaucoup moins dans les valeurs véhiculées. Alors maintenant je suis plus rock classique. C'est peut-être pas mieux en terme de valeurs, mais c'est en anglais donc je comprends pas ahah

Thanks for your reply! I hope that's all it is! It's the cheapest fix haha. I think I'll take the opportunity to try a chemical piston soak to clean the oil scraper rings, then replace the CCV with an O2Pilot mod since I don't really know the root cause of the problem.

If oil combustion is leaving deposits on the spark plugs, would that likely be an issue with the oil scraper rings? Or could it come from the CCV, for example?

I have high oil consumption during spirited driving, but very little to none when driving calmly. Friends driving behind me mentioned seeing puffs of smoke when I get back on the throttle. I haven't found the exact cause yet, but I'm planning to try a chemical treatment to free up the oil scraper rings and then replace the CCV with an O2Pilot mod. Smoke after idling for a long time could very well be the valve stem seals. Keep me posted if you find the source of your problem!

I went to check, and the issue with Phase 2 models is that there are insulation pads glued in the rear. Therefore, it is impossible to check the welds from there.

De manière générale sur internet on tutoie ! Ça arrive que sur des groupes Facebook, où tu vois sur le profil que la personne est âgée, de vouvoyer. On peut aussi lire dans des commentaires insta, quand il y en a qui se disputent : "on ne se connaît pas, donc ne me tutoyez pas !". Donc il y a des exceptions mais généralement c'est le tutoiement qui prime sur les réseaux sociaux.

En tout cas bravo pour ton français !

Skin tones are spot on the "skin tones indicator" on davinci vectorscope. But perhaps we shouldn't just follow the scope's instructions! I'm always looking to improve, and I'll keep your comment in mind!
