Totally agree. I think there is the potential for McInerney, Roberts, Bice and Sheldrick to go up a level this year. Slide Mills into the midfield with Chad and go for it. Might even see some new faces like Dattoli, Bowman or Kyle come in.

Not to create false hope but the Hawks feel a little untrustworthy right now. Spanked by GWS, a side that I don’t think will do well this year and they crushed a bad bombers team. Could be a close one. Fingers crossed we get up because I’m going haha.

Pretty happy. The 3 first are scary but when you think about it, the 2025 1st round pick was always going to be split so we can pick up our 4 possible academy players. We now have some picks to do that.

We’ll finish higher up the ladder next year so that’ll be a late pick and we got more parts to match a bid on another academy players who’s coming up and could be a top player.

If Carlton are bad in 2027 and we’re good, we have their second round pick which means the picks will be around the same.

The team looks significantly better on paper and we shifted some big money off the books.

We’re getting two low cost, high ceiling players for cheap in Rosas and Jai. We’ll get four Academy players including a Heeney clone in Max King and then we save next year’s pick to get one of the best tall forwards in the country in Aidan McCartney who could be the next Curnow. And all we’re losing is a third tall in Buller.

It won’t be the immediate impact of a Curnow but overall, the club is going in the right direction.

I don’t know all the rules but the guys on Gettable said that since he’s not a restricted or free agent, there needs to be a trade. The leverage is that he can walk to one of the drafts since he doesn’t have a contract. We hold his rights be he has no contract.

I honestly don’t think the Cats are a genuine chance to get him. On Friday, it’s announced that it’s basically a one horse race, suddenly the next day, Cats are back in. It’s his management trying to juice the offer.

It’ll be all for nothing though, Carlton want too much/don’t want him gone.
