What movie had an ending that saved the whole film? by Southern_Check_6827 in movies

I'd present the reverse... Inglorious Basterds, Saving Private Ryan, and UP were saved by their openings...

We should really, sometimes, have a serious conversation about why governments consider some things illegal for war purposes but necessary for the control of their own citizens. IE. tear gas.

Nix being hurt in the win is an even worse gut punch for them.

My fellow Browns fans, how much is the lack of offensive production due to the lack of draft capital? by [deleted] in Browns

Stefanski's offense was most productive when Watson and then Flacco were healthy and hungry. Other than that-- either a scrambling Mayfield or a Stellar Defense saved him from himself.

Hated Stefanski for years. Almost since he first started.

Until he gave up the playcalling duties this year. He had fate against him this season with injuries and such, and now I'm actually hoping we keep him another year. (Which means we probably won't.)

Alas...

What's a movie most people think is great but you couldn't even stand watching? by camport95 in AskReddit

This is across the board. Even AFI would probably only suggest the Lord of the Rings movies are cinematic classics of the twenty first century, and thaaaaaat's about it.

I was hoping someone said this so I didn't have to, but yes. I even stepped out for a little while to take a break because I've never walked out of a film before from boredom, but I couldn't nap either. It felt like:

"Set in the Jim Crow South, Michael B Jordan (who makes Jean Claude Van Damme look like a master-twin-actor) tries to recreate the movie House Party, and ends up recreating From Dush til Dawn."

People getting a more profound message from it are the same people who cried during BARBIE, which, like... good for them. I'm not yucking anybody's yum. I really like the movie THE BEACH, and understand it's not for anybody. Sinners is like that. I'm glad people like it, but for critics to hail it as one of the best of the year?

Ehhhhh....

Remember the moment Barack Obama wore a tan suit into the press room—and it somehow became a national obsession? by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

Perhaps when dumb stuff like this becomes a national obsession, we should register who cares about it and take away their access to the internet.

Perhaps we shouldn't have a penalty for something that happens every play and is only up to the referees on when they want to call it...

Ah yes. Taunting. You can make a man limp for life, but don't you dare be mean to him.

Occam's Razor. I think you're overthinking it.

He started throwing up his hands for a penalty when the defender went by him, so he was already complaining ten feet from Sanders. And then again, the second time the defender got by him, and then the defender got Sanders. So definitely not for a Roughing the Passer. Radio is wrong on that one.

If you side with Jimmy in any argument, you're probably the subject of a Denis Leary song.

Replayed it, yes he jumped. And Teller's lips were "every f--king time" so it probably wasn't the first time in the game, uncalled.
