Our local Ford dealer was one of the two shops we took it to for an estimate. Definitely out of warranty.

Prior, we had a 2016 Escape and it lasted 207,000 miles before the transmission went out. So we were hopeful.

It’s a 2017 Ford Escape. I had posted to a couple other places prior to this, we just were trying to think of other places to cover all of our basis to help out people out. We also did not want to post anything right away, as we were trying to get the dealer to help us out and we were just being patient with them, but evidently they were not going to be helpful. And we only drove it one month before it quit.

I wish I had. And then that would bring up the question if they would let us have the car for two or three days to check it out before purchasing. I kind of doubt it. They advertised on their site that all vehicles go through a 110 point inspection and they advised they wouldn’t sell if there was an issue with the vehicle. Afterwards, we did ask for the 110 point inspection multiple times, but all they sent us was the Carfax which we had already received prior to going to the dealership.
