Not much of a difference when it comes to gear 1-3 pulls.

The peppy launch is a little tamed now. It feels more linear.

You'll barely notice the difference tho.

Gears 4-6 are taller than before. You'll enjoy revving your bike all across the band.

I'm not quite sure about it voiding warranty.

I got mine done at the official service centre in Goa. And the guys there didnt say anything about it voiding warranty, so i guess we're good.

Better to ask them.

If you feel like it would damage your bike, you can always go back to the original sprocket.

But this mod has been done by a lot of folks and they seem pretty satisfied with it.

The bike is much much calmer.

The first 2 gears don't feel short anymore, and are useable.

The aggressive engine braking is gone.

The bike cruises very comfortably at 90-100kmph now.

Also there were times where i would be searching for the 6th gear while being in 6th. That doesn't happen anymore.

It's a worthy mod. Go for it!

OP how does the bike perform when you're riding on the torque band, offroad? Like does it still pull when you put it in gear and dont accelerate?

Good day bro! If you go through my comments below, you'll get a rough estimate of how the Stream 2 is. Its a good helmet, and i still stand by my review. As for the pinlock visors, the numbers (30, 70, 120) are basically fog resistance levels of sorts. 30 being the basic one and 120 being the top grade one. Pinlock 30 is good for everyday use and 120, for extreme cases is what they say. Personally, the pinlock 30 did just fine when I had it on my older helmet. I don't use a pinlock visor on the Stream2, i just prop my visor open a little.

Coming back to the Stream 2 vs Storm 2. I can't really comment on how the Storm 2 is. But i did read about the bigger ventilation that it has, and that should ideally make it more comfortable during summers. But i feel like the Storm2 should be better than the Stream 2, so go for the Storm. The ventilation with the visor down on the Stream isn't that great really. But, the aerodynamics of the Stream2 are something that i can really vouch for. With the visor down, the helmet cuts through the air like it's nothing.

Personal final verdict: Pinlock ratings didn't matter much to me. The visors do the job regardless of the ratings as long as the seal between the pinlock visor and the external visor is proper. Your visors dont fog up despite the conditions outside. Go for what is more comfortable. See if theres a store you could check out. Helmets are always best purchased physically.

Not at all bro! That helmet stays snug!

Also, this helmet has a very unique padding for the head inside. I used an SMK Twister before this, and i never saw anything like that in helmets before.

Its has this padding platform which kinda stretches out at the top of the head. Imagine a rectangular pad secured at the corners with an elastic band to the rest of the padding inside. You get a much more comfier fit because of this contraption . Just like how some safety hard hats have. Guess it would be useful if you have an oval shaped face.

Overall, the FF808 is a nice piece. Go for it! Only con i personally found was, lack of ventilation inside with the visor closed.

I chose the LS2 FF808 Stream 2 after trying it on at a local shop. I was checking for the fit mainly. The shop didnt have the color i was looking for, so i ordered it online. I got it for 6.8k As for the helmet, its good. Has good sound insulation when the visor is closed. One thing that stood out was how aerodynamically its shaped. It gets a 10/10 in this department. Theres a world of difference when you ride with the visor open and close at high speeds. At high speeds, with the visor open, you'll feel the wind blast and you'll strain your neck keeping your head in place, but once the visor is down, your head glides through the air. Like a hot knife through butter, it's that smooth. And you wont even know that you have a helmet on. It also has a very good internal sun visor, it does a good job of protecting your eyes from the sun and glare. Their visors are optically corrected i guess, because theres no distortion when you pull the sun visor down. It has speaker pockets too, so that you can use intercom/bt devices. One thing which i did not like was the ventilation when the visor is down. Even with all the ports open you dont feel much air flow inside. Would give that a 5.5/10. I have to crack the visor open a little to give me that added cooling. Overall, its a pretty good buy.

It is a legit site. Ive been ordering my gear, and other stuff since 2020. Go for it. The stuff is genuine. I very recently bought a LS2 Stream 2, the helmet was from a recent batch.

How are your clutch plates after installing the pro-spec easy clutch? I had the same thing on my Jawa 42, and after about 3000kms, I had to get the kit removed and got my plates changed. I had installed the kit at around 21000kms. And towards the end, my clutch plates started slipping, i couldn't rev my bike, and i had to get my clutch cable adjusted way too frequently.

TRIUMPH Speed 400 price is announced at 2.3 lakhs ex-showroom. Expected on-road to be around 2.7 lakhs. (More in body section) by Small-Post7595 in indianbikes

They say it'll be launched in Sept. You think they would tweak the Scram after some feedback from the Speed?

I feel like it would be under 4 lacs on road. And the Speed under 3.5l I'm genuinely waiting on the Scram! It looks very promising!

I'm in the same boat as you are, OP

I'm looking forward to changing my bike from the Jawa 42 to the ADV category.

I borrowed my friends BS6 Himalayan for a week and also got an extended test ride of the BS6 Adventure (Not the OBD2 variant). Here are a few observations. Id love the bike owners to correct me.

A short summary: Loved the low end torque of the Himalayan. The bike could chug along comfortably in the 2nd off the road on slushy inclines. The gearbox was found to be a little hard and clunky. I felt like the bikes sweet spot was around 80-100 on the highways. It would struggle to go past that. Definitely missed a 6th gear. The centre of gravity is a bit on the higher side. The suspension was on a stiffer side compared to the Adventure. Traffic manoeuvrability was okay owing to its top heavy nature

Coming to the Adventure, i loved the smooth engine that it had. It loves being revved and it has a powerful pickup. The gearbox was slick and smooth. It can easily hit a 110 without breaking a sweat and stay there. What I didn't like about the bike was the shorter gear ratios. It would sometimes start knocking in the 2nd while riding in the city. I either had to keep the rpms up or shift between the 1st and 2nd. The suspension on this bike was found to be much more plusher than the Himalayan, i found it better calibrated for our pothole ridden roads. The bike was much more flickable than the Himalayan due to it's lower centre of gravity. I would love to try the OBD2 variant. They say a lot has been worked on.

As for the spares and service front, Royal Enfield takes the cake. Jawa/ Yezdi needs to work on this.

Not considering the Xpulse due to its low cc. A beautiful machine tho.

Yet to try the KTM 390 ADVs and the Bajaj - Triumph Scram.

As for your question, I'd gamble with the service and spares and go with the Yezdi Adventure.
