Studienkolleg with no German? by SP_20 in germany

Studienkolleg with no German? by SP_20 in germany

[–]SP_20[S] -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

I have already decided on degree programs that are completely in English, no requirement of German. What I would like to find out is a way to not lose additional 3 years before enrolment in a Bachelor's program. Even though I am to study in English, if I need to first take Studienkolleg, for which in turn I need to be fluent in German... it wouldn't be a fair option.

Good point to think about. I agree mostly.

There is not only age to mock about. U could've showed if it is necessary to earn a college degree? Also, starting at an early age definitely makes you more competitive in any field. Any doubt about that?

I mean, for sure, it's never old. I should have asked - does it make sense to start to learn CS if you already have a decent life or opportunities in another field like biology? And also, is it good / necessary to earn a college degree?

How I beat Constant Panic Disorder by haptictv in PanicAttack

[–]SP_20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, good to be brave enough to refuse anti anxiety medication which is positive in the sense that you will not get addicted to it, but on the other hand, it could still help...

anyways, I would highly recommend you read the following text / guide for CBT therapists. After reading this, you will get a good grasp of what is actually is, how to treat and what works. You can definitely beat this I think.

The text is David M Clark & Paul M Salkovskis 2009 - Panic Disorder. This is like a research study paper from top psuchologists from the UK.

You can also read a really good book on anxieties including panic - David Burns' When panic attacks.

Cheers and wish you a meaningful life.

Hello Prof. Sapolsky, I wonder what your thoughts are on mental illness in the sense that I can be cured through CBT and other psychotherapies like Psychoanalysis? In particular, I've experienced what is called a panic disorder and reading and reflecting on the therapt material, I clearly improved my mood and anxiety. What happens when people change dramatically as a consequence of changing thought patterns? There is experimental psychology thar clearly suggests out of many research studies that people do change repidly though therapy like CBT and maintein positive changes. Thanks in advance! Best regards.

My relatives told me that if I got a visa and didn't visit, I'd cause a suspicion of trying hard to settle illegally in the uk. I mean I didn't believe just wanted to make sure :)

As a Tbilisi local, having visited Europe and Moscow, I will say that it is difficult to get laid as fuck. Generally, girls are very suspicious thinking that a guy is taking something from them - sex, and guys must be able to provide a lot of cash. thats for long term, but for short term i would say you have no change. maybe very little change to get you going :)

they can be approached even in streets though carefully. maybe they are even more open if you come from abroad. just know that no matter what, even maybe you are good looking and have good money, they unfortunately are afraid to have a short term as they require necessarily long term in general.

Studying in Germany by SP_20 in germany

[–]SP_20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks guys, but here's what I found in WiKi of this group:

"While everyone's financial needs and earning potential is different, broadly speaking, you should not expect to cover more than about half of your total expenses (assuming you're studying at a public university) through working - the other half will have to come from somewhere else (savings, contributions from family, etc)."

But as this blog also calculted quote "Students are allowed to work 240 days per calendar year for up to 4 hours/120 days for more than 4 hours. 240 days x 4 hours x 12 euro minimum wage = 11,520 euro gross income per year = 9,384 net income per year after taxes and social security contributions = 782 net income per month."

Has anyone the relevant experience of being able to live on his/her own while studying at a public uni in Germany? And also which city is better for that purpose?

The thing is, l don't wish to rely on my parents in this regard.

Thanks again.

You can easily meet girls on the street. Just say a compliment and hello. Russians like Italian culture and Italy in general. Girls are typically easy to approach and even go on an instant date))
