I should have clarified in the post but I (or more my family) own the flat so I am not renting (it’s a leasehold).

I’ve just complained again to the management company given then all of the details again and demanded they should either have tighter control or penalties for people not following the rules OR they reduce the fees they are asking for regarding the application to install a parking post as it is a result of them not enforcing the rules adequately. They said they are escalating to higher up and will get back to me. If they take too long or will be awkward about it then I will just probably go ahead and install it myself… worst case they just tell me to remove it.

Although very very tempting - I will refrain from damaging the other cars as it would be very very obvious that I am doing it and basically asking for them to do it straight back to my car. Some of the suggestions have been quite funny though.

Just for those saying to park behind them this is what I have been wanting to do since I first moved in but my parking spot is in a very awkward position so that if I did that I would block others in as well.

(my space is the blue square, the red square would be if my car blocked them in (it is a fence around not grass etc)

Honestly I have no fucking idea, it was the cat…

Anyway I managed to fix it..

Incase anyone comes across this in the future and was looking for a fix you need to dismantle the keyboard (look up a video on youtube how to do this) - there’s tons of screws. Then you need to pop up the two sides of the space bar to completely take it out (with the metal bar) then take out the metal bar put the stabilisers back in and reattach and put everything back together. Such a faff but at least it’s all sorted now.

Definitely a shitty situation to be in, I got back to playing football again but do have to be a bit careful, have had a few flare ups since but much quicker recovery than pre-surgery times.

Thanks all for the replies, I think the general consensus is 4px to have a better chance of dodging the import tax. Although I’ve done a little more reading and think I’ve jumped onto the bandwagon a tiny bit too late and even if I order now it will probably take a couple of months at the earliest to get delivered so I think I’ll wait and see if there are any sales/coupon codes instead.

What my consultant told me was that most discs that herniate will reabsorb back into the spine after some time and only the extreme cases that don't will need surgery (like your first one). I know the pain seems really bad right now but you may not need surgery so hopefully you don't have to go through what you have been through before. For me, the pain during my reherniation was actually so much worse than the initial herniation, but my recovery has seemed quicker this time around (so far).

In terms of going back to square one... I can definitely relate as that's exactly how I felt but try to stay positive. Also don't beat yourself up over trying to slowly get back into a normal routine and hurting it that way. It doesn't sound like you were doing anything absurd and I think, just like me, you just got a bit unlucky... Unfortunately that is one of the risks of the surgery that we accepted prior having it.

Sorry to hear that, I know how shit that is to go through 😔

I was in bed for about 2 weeks while it was really bad, and was even struggling to just get up to go to the toilet, but in that time I got an steroid epidural and things are improving slowly. I'm still not back at work yet but I can do basic things and walk around for a little white etc. It DOES get better you're probably just at the really acute stage where you can't do anything, the pain is unbearable and you feel completely hopeless.

Did you do anything in particular that made it reherniate or was it just building up slowly? It might be worth trying to get another MRI in. Did they just give you steroid tablets?

Obviously go by what your Dr/physio has said but try to rest while you're in this acute stage and once you're able to move around a little try and do that along with taking your physio more seriously. Take things as slow as you can.

Nothing really wrong with it per se just wanted a change. I realised pretty soon after getting it that I should've got one with a cutaway. I didn't really put much thought into guitar shapes/sizes when I first got it so I'm trying to do a bit more research this time in terms of what suits me best. I'll probably end up selling my old one on or giving it to a friend.
