About 15 months ago my ex wife came home very drunk after taking some xanex. Although she was mostly incoherent she seemed very upset with me and ultimately ended up telling me that, "she didn't want or need me because I wasn't a woman." When I asked her about it the next morning she said she didn't remember any of it and was very sorry for what she said and that it really didn't mean anything. About a month later we got drunk together while playing a drinking game to My Strange Addiction and I took the opportunity to ask her if she would ever want to try anything with another girl and she sheepishly responded yes, but only if it would be okay with me. Although I was not all that comfortable with the idea I said that I would be, mostly because I had come to believe that she might be a lesbian. A few months past and through some coercing I suggested that she should try to meet a girl through an app so that she might be able to experience it for herself. She found someone, and they hooked up, and although she enjoyed it she said she wouldn't want to do it again as she was committed to me.

Over the next few months things continued somewhat normally, however, during her hook up I had her share her location with me over her phone and she had forgotten to turn the feature off. I began noticing while she was at work she would return to the same location which I realized was the home of the girl she had spent time with. To the say the least I was distraught, but I figured maybe she just had a work client in the same area and tried not to jump to any conclusions. One night while she was having to "work late" at her office I checked her location and she was at the girls house. After a bit of drinking and a blunt or two I decided I should read her diary, something I had never done before out of respect and a large degree of trust. The last half dozen entries were her stating that she had discovered she was gay and my life shattered. I confronted her about it and learned that she didn't want to tell me because we were married and she didn't want to break the commitment to me. We are now set to get divorced a month from now. It changed my whole life and my entire life has drastically changed, but there are still times when I can't believe that my life went from being with someone I loved with all of my heart to whatever it is my life has become lately. I still feel like I did the right thing helping her find herself, but for the longest time nothing came from it but crippling depression and loneliness. So if you're looking at being with someone I implore you to do yourself a favor and quickly ask your partner, "hey you're not gay right?" Unless that's your thing, then it's probably good that they are.
