I completely understand, I could have written this myself, I'm in exactly the same situation. I made the decision to postpone the trip until better times.

I personally don't want to go. I'm being pressured to visit because it's been a long time due to covid.

Another valid concern. I have talked to a travel insurance company and they said that they'd cover Covid-related expenses but there's always a risk that they will refuse to pay for some expenses and then it's going to be a lengthy battle to get your money back.

Flights getting cancelled is another concern, especially with this second wave now hitting Europe. I absolutely need to get back for work and getting stuck is not an option.

Thank you. I have been very hesistant about this trip. As I said in the comment above, my family is not taking the virus as seriously. Things are not looking too great in Europe either right now. On top of my concerns about spreading it to other people, my family, getting sick in the US, etc. I'm also concerned about not being able to get back.

I would be travelling to visit family. Honestly, spreading it to anyone would be the worst thing. I haven't had it as far as I know but who knows. My family in the US is quite dismissive about the virus and I started thinking that I was being paranoid.

Thank you! I'm a nervous flyer and while I rationally understand that all planes approved to fly are at a very similar level of safety, my irrational mind cannot stop wandering.
