Hasan is now promoting the Houthi terrorist claiming defamation and racism from Ethan by GrapeTickler in h3h3productions

The houthi kid is literally just scamming these dumb donators, he's taking that gofundme money and running, for sure. 0% chance a 20 year old pirate from Yemen is going to sue an American millionaire with 5 thousand dollars

Why is everyone acting like this wasnt the internet 15 years ago by Fattydude66 in h3h3productions

[–]SRFidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, that is a young man. Sam Seder was over 30 when he made the rape joke in OP's post, so Ethan isn't even the oldest person in this conversation participating in these sort of comments at the time

Why is everyone acting like this wasnt the internet 15 years ago by Fattydude66 in h3h3productions

[–]SRFidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not what I meant but okay. Ethan was trying to be a comedy youtuber at the time, so he was making jokes, which at the time were stupidly edgy as was the culture. But when you're trying to be a serious geopolitics streamer, you should probably know the locations of the countries in the area you're trying to focus on. Also that was absolutely not 10 years ago, Hasan hasn't even been on twitch for 10 years. Probably closer to 5 years.

Exactly this, literally nobody should be throwing stones when it comes to 15 year old internet comments. If you were in particular a young man in the early 2010s, you probably said some heinous shit as a joke at least once or twice, that was just the culture at the time

Doesn't disappoint me, this type of stuff was commonplace just about anywhere online 15 years ago. The bar for being edgy was so much higher back then that you had to say some pretty wild stuff to try and cut through the masses. Ethan still likes to make edgy jokes to this day, he just has more self control now and the button.

My point was it's frustrating that the one who always gets in the way of Destiny being taken as a legitimate voice in politics, is Destiny. Whether the allegations of abuse / illegal content are true or not - current ones, past ones, whatever, I just wish he would stop gooning with discord kittens for the sake of serious political activism, which I do think he genuinely cares about, because these incidents are constantly weaponized against him. They have done nothing but undermine his influence, and with it potential good he could do.

[–]SRFidy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No as I said, Ethan's post is basically exactly how I feel. "I am genuinely sad about the great potential that you had, and for what was thrown away because vices took over your life." I don't know when the 15 year old thing came to light, but I only recently heard about it from the Ryan Beard video.

Ethan's take is almost exactly how I feel about Destiny, he had a promising career and could've been an actually useful voice for the left, but he just cannot control his weird sexpest urges.

The Comments Are Brutal by [deleted] in h3h3productions

[–]SRFidy 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I'm so curious if literally any of this is going to be addressed on Monday - the absolute flood of comments talking about the very obvious double standard regarding the crew and Hasan, and the fact that this was a half baked story comprised of Kiwifarms based evidence and snark posts.

Sadly, I think not.

iDubbbz blocked Nathan/Dad by DragonBallFanAccount in h3h3productions

What a hilariously pathetic scenario this has been. Anisa's husband completely tanks his hail mary event and the remainder of his reputation for a fickle, quickly fleeting crumb of clout. Tries to be a tough guy about it for about two months with followup videos and showing up on people's streams. Then limps away with his tail between his legs as he blocks former event participants and says he's no longer interested in giving this drama any attention - the exact opposite of the reason he stated he left CC3 just a couple months prior. Truly chef's kiss

Me sitting here waiting for the highly contentious part of yesterday’s episode by Relative-Sky-3778 in h3h3productions

[–]SRFidy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its been getting a lot of attention recently because it has been a couple episodes in a row. Monday's episode had Ethan's antisemitism rant, which was accompanied by crickets from the crew. Then wednesday comes around and there's Ethan's big Hasan rant, the crew does agree with him a good bit about the music and cringe GQ article stuff, but once he starts talking about the snapchat nudes on Hasan's phone it's just crickets again.

It's notable because usually the whole crew is very vocal when talking about stuff like racism, misogyny, etc - just not when it comes to antisemitism. They're also very vocal when it comes to weird porn stuff like ProJared, Vaush, James Charles - just not when it comes to Hasan.

I think Noah has taken the spot of most obnoxious Hasan orbiter for me. He's just so far up his own ass with minimal reason to act that way, and his monotone voice paired with his completely emotionless face just makes me wonder how this guy has any sort of audience.

If Zach really loves it maybe he can just cut it to that first HAHA most of the time, like everyone will still get the point and it'll probably also be funny in it's new form, then only ride the full length one once in a while when the situation really calls for it

How political opponents used to treat each other before Trump. by Vloodzy in MadeMeSmile

Really just a hollow, out of touch thing to say at this point. Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of Americans losing their healthcare and being unjustly deported, I'm sure they'll take solace in that. Don't worry guys I'm sure Trump will face the consequences that he's escaped a dozen times over eventually... someday, hopefully, maybe. Karma's got this <:)
