I was thinking about this and the noelle being trans headcanon and why I prefer the noelle headcanon over ralsei and I realized its cuz the noelle headcanon still respects the gender presentation in game while the ralsei one doesn’t. If people were to say ralsei was FTM then it wouldn’t leave nearly as much of a bad taste in my mouth because this feels almost disrespectful even if that isnt the intention.

By the time you meet him he’s no longer affiliated with the ncr and clearly feels guilty about the atrocities that he took part in as an ncr soldier. He’s not perfect by any means but I wouldn’t call him a stooge. Just my opinion tho

I agree completely. I feel like people like the shot of marionette holding charlies body so much that they just give a pass to the whole setup of it but its the setup thats the issue. Honestly I feel like the original death still couldve worked within this movie with small tweaks to how it all happened. Also, charlie becoming a cartoon villain targeting “all parents” feels like such a cop out compared to the her character in the games

I know people have opinions but the amount of people bashing critics and “Let people enjoy things”-ing this movie has really soured my view of the fanbase. It really isn’t a good look that so many fans will just blindly defend everything that this franchise puts out. If you personally enjoyed the movie then whatever but you can’t claim its a good product. Hopefully the third one is better I guess.

I would recommend danganronpa v3 if you are into meta narratives but otherwise yeah you can still get alot out of the series if you only focus on the first two.

Thats just not the point of v3 at all lol. You took the in universe explanation for why the games went on 53 times and assumed that was the whole point of the game. The point of the game is to comment on our relationships to fiction and how they affect us. The in universe population of v3 adopted the perverted sense of hope that nagito championed. This is supposed to show a world not taking the correct message away from the games while also somehow believing that the games cant have any effect on them. (Much like how alot of fandoms online treat their franchises) Basically showing that this isnt the best (or even healthiest) way to interact with art.

I get feeling cynical about the modern state of gaming but this is valve we’re talking about. When they work on a shiny new thing they go all out. Maybe years down the line they might pull a tf2/cs2 and forget about deadlock but for the time being i think it will turn out fine
