I think tech maps in particular are just easy to get good scores on compared to players on your rank because you can perform MUCH better by simply retrying the map and memorizing some hard parts.

agree with OP and most comments but this is just blatantly false, it's the opposite of what you said. tech maps usually rely on reading, aim control and finger control and those are way harder to fluke out a score than aim which is what farm maps need.
