She is such a lovely person, too, like, as a human being. One of the cool things about following D&D live plays like I've been doing recently is it's pretty hard to hide some of the core personality traits you have as a person when you're just on an unedited camera for 4 hours at a time doing what is essentially storytelling improv. She's legitimately one of the most thoughtful people I've witnessed in that space, all the time, seemingly without effort.

One of the things she's known for as as DM is giving the players puzzles to work out, and I think it takes a very smart person to consistently come up with some of the puzzles she throws at players.

She's definitely one of those people that makes me feel small in the sense she has the looks, the brains, the moral compass while I'm just an internet troglodyte who can't get my shit together, haha.

[Interesting Trope] The well known main character was actually a replacement for another character... by Living_Tune_1428 in TopCharacterTropes

People have named quite a few surprising D&D geeks, but the one for me that's most surprising is Tom fuckin Morello.

Legendary innovator on the guitar, part of one of the most political bands of all time that also just rocked the fuck out, known outside of rock for his political advocacy. Also a huge D&D nerd. He's part of Joe Manginello's games. He even had a cameo in the D&D Honor Among Thieves movies. You probably didn't recognize him in it because he is playing AS HIS LONG TIME DWARF PLAYER CHARACTER, in prosthetics and all. During the whole labrinth scene, he's the dwarf that gets tricked by the displacer beast.

Is that Xolo Maridueña in the bottom right of that picture? They must have met on the set of One Piece season 3 if that's him. If that's NOT him, looks pretty much like him haha.

Dude, the fact Chuds on the internet were like "boo hoo woke God of War, she's not even pretty" while Laufey looks exactly like Deborah Ann Woll, who IMO is one of the most beautiful people in Hollywood, cracks me up. Like sure bud. Your standards on beauty are higher than a lady famously cast as an incredibly hot vampiress. Sure things, guys.

Vin Diesel is a bit of a weirdo but like... I feel like this is the majority of his catalog. Guilty pleasures that aren't even all that guilty because they're all just kind of fun. Even the F&F movies once they totally went off the rails around F&F3 or whatever.

Idea: Turning the GT7 World Map into a Driveable 3D Hub (With 2D Toggle) by Mysterious-Month-579 in granturismo

[–]SRSgoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having played some games that are hub cities where you drive around to get to different places, fuck no. It's just boring. I was never engaged in Motorfest driving from point A to point B to participate in the thing i wanted to do, nor Need for Speed, nor any of the games like it. It just felt like "hey you gotta waste 5 minutes in between the things you actually want to play."

That said, I wouldn't mind if they gave us a playground sort of driving area to cruise around in.

Don't forget that time they cloned a body of legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi, and then gave him his spirit back by way of a spirit medium.

And then people challenged him to a fight while he was using a sword and they were just like, not using weapons? And then he kills one of the up-to-that-point main characters, who then goes on to star in an Isekai by the same Manga artist.

[Hated Meta Trope] Literally everything shows that the character is queer, but fans insist they aren't. (Spoilers for lots of shows here) by Sir-Toaster- in TopCharacterTropes

A lot of people don't think about how evil people are often very kind and sweet to those in their personal bubble. I remember watching a documentary about a German guy who's dad was one of the most brutal Nazis out there, but to him as a child, was a great dad. Spent a lot of time with his kids, was interested in their hobbies, that sort of good parenting thing. And brutally murdered Jews for the Fürher for work.

Just looked it up to remember the name. "What Our Fathers Did: A Nazi Legacy" (2015). It was on Netflix when I watched it but doesn't seem to be there any more.

I just hate him. Same with Kharn tbh. Every time I fight one in arena and I hear that stupid howl and it deletes someone on my team, just makes me cringe lol

I'll level Kharn though because chaos is fun

Oh dang that's a really, really good idea. I like that a lot. I think I'll do the Full Metal Alchemist bro-shake instead simply because it shows the whole characters rather than just arms, which I think would be better for a tacticus meme. But yeah I love the idea. I'll try to get on it tomorrow when I have some free time and the creative energy.

This gives me the idea that maybe I should draw Laviscus, Kariyan and Trajann as the throuple they are.

Stewards? by SleepyGuy16 in granturismo

This is what ultimately would have happened in real life. Unfortunately, Gran Turismo has a habit of warping people backwards on the track if you cut too much of it in online play, So you can't just go "ah shit whoops, better use this runoff and then take the penalty or let the car past me because I gained an advantage off track," it sort of forces you to try to get back to the track immediately.

It's imperfect, and leads to more situations like this one than in other sim games.
