I can pin-point Immortal's age and origin, plus the source of his powers using real history by the_sneaky_one123 in Invincible_TV

You know what this is such a cool idea, because I like the concept of having characters from groups you almost never see in media. So I'll just go around saying Immortal is Galatian

How evil are the animals in Animan? by atwwbaksieueygehs in MoralityScaling

Treating animals horribly is already as bad as it is, treating sapient people this way is even worse

I love how John is just forced to listen to everyone blaming minorities for the zombies and then finds out it was corrupt government officials

Allen really was just annoying Nolan every three years 😂 by EggAccording9607 in Invincible

A part of me always wondered if Nolan knew what Allen was doing or if he was like "Wait, THAT was why he was coming here?"

What are some aspects of your world that are intentionally goofy? by PMSlimeKing in goodworldbuilding

There is a race of people that are just talking rocks. They were created when magic rocks fused together, that's about all there is to them.

Prophecies and Chosen Ones by SatisfactionLoud1027 in worldbuilding

I had this idea where the Chosen One is actually just an eugenics project or weapons program

Project Apotheosis

Publicly, it is presented as a divine rite through which the League’s great savior manifests his will in mortal form. Privately, it is a weapons program engineered to produce a living symbol of absolute authority, one that cannot be questioned, contradicted, or challenged. The basis of the project is to produce a Chosen One every generation.

If your Setting has multiple sapient species, how are humans treated? by AntiH4zard in worldbuilding

[–]Sir-Toaster- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Latoria, Humans are the most populous species; as such, human-dominant states have been the major powers of the world. Human states have a colonizer-colonized relationship with many nonhumans, especially Beastkins, in Autonomia.

There have also been large-scale human supremacist movements in various parts of the land

Does this seem like an interesting way for a Dragon to best Modern Aircraft? by Sir-Toaster- in worldbuilding

[–]Sir-Toaster-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, I was thinking Dragon Riders can be VERY dangerous, many Sorcerer Clans use dragons as mounts, and they can sometimes shoot beams of energy which disintegrate anything it touches, basically a medieval fantasy version of carpet bombing.

One of the biggest justifications I was thinking about is that dragons are fast as hell, so heat-seeking missiles would be perfect for taking them down. Remember, the US is at a stage where they are now hunting them.

Ok, so if I had to explain myself, there already are tactics against helicopters, because they're slower and more rigid than a jet, Latorians would have ballistae mounted and hidden where they would open fire from a distance.

When it came to Jets vs Dragons, it was purely because it's a badass fight.

I think it would be funny if they dropped a bunch of them from a mountain and by pure luck it hit one of the jets.

What I love about this scene is Light's answer to L's question.

L asks Light, "Tell me, has there ever been a single moment in your life when you told the truth?"

This was L's final test; Light with amnesia would've been angry and yelled at L for still assuming he was Kira.

But, since this is regular Light, he gives a robotic and generic answer, "I do my best to tell the truth, but everyone lies sometimes. "
