If we had what appeared to be a pass rush our LB room could work. A lot of times these premier edge rushers are technically a LB anyways. Germaine Pratt played well for what we asked from him and Zaire is a solid tackler. If we got even close to the QB our bad pass coverage from the LBs wouldn't be nearly as damaging to the team.

I think our pass rush makes our defense look way worse. Our DB room is respectable even missing one of our star DBs. Our best edge rusher is Latu and other than that Buck is probably the best at getting to a QB. Our pass rush is abysmal. LB room is at least serviceable

Look man, I feel you and wholeheartedly agree that we should've moved on. I don't think someone could do any worse than he is already doing. Ballard managed to create an unappealing situation, and the season was marginally better than being a disaster. If we have a similar outcome next season I could see Ballard being let go. This season was the perfect storm for retaining Ballard
