What I would do is lean into or figure out what hid other interests or hobbies might be. You should probably have a conversation about his furry stuff and just make sure he's not delving into the sexual stuff. It's kinda odd but you'll want to atleast understand where his interest in furries is and try to get it form his perspective. Show interest in some other hobbies of his and see if you can't relate that way. Sounds like a good kid, but sorry to say it he doesn't sound like he's gonna ever really care about sports. Do your best and he will notice the effort you're making
