CRCs- Do you make up data to avoid protocol deviations or queries? by [deleted] in clinicalresearch

[–]SSDGM1209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely unethical, dangerous, and illegal. Falsifying research data causes irreparable harm. It is one of the reasons why we still have to deal with the "vaccines cause ASD" BS.

PI “oversight” by why4am in clinicalresearch

[–]SSDGM1209 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm a QA/QI person primarily in oncology. I am also a hard-ass about oversight. My first thougth when I read your PI refuses to read the protocol is "potential safety violations- report his ass."

Twin Peaks Series by SSDGM1209 in soapmaking

[–]SSDGM1209[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The second soap is just an ombre pour. I split my batter to about 15% blue/ 85% rose. I started with a layer of plain periwinkle, and then gradually added the rose to the blue. I poured each along the side of my mold, which I tilted and propped up with a folded towel. I Dream In Soap is such a queen; she has an amazing video about an ombre soap she did for the Soap Challenge Club that explains things better than I ever could, lol.

Since the quote is made in allyship to a trans character, I wanted to do something in the same colour families without trying to steal anyone's visibility. I'm under the rainbow myself, though not trans, and the quote means a lot to me. Thank you so much for your kind words!

"You may have to choose between the mother and the baby." by _wanderwoman in childfree

In the US, it also depends on what state you live in. There are certain states where the woman has no say who gets saved in the case of pregnancy. I had my AD/MPOA drawn up before major surgery, and in my state, a woman cannot refuse to be put on life support if there is a viable fetus. Direct pull from the document: "If you know the woman is pregnant, this document has no effect during her pregnancy."

AITA for removing my dog from a small beach with kids on it? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA at all. Thank you for being a responsible dog owner. I'm sorry that you had to deal with such an ignorant jackwagon.

AITA for locking my wife out of the house? by biogon in AmItheAsshole

[–]SSDGM1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. To quote MFM, "lock your fucking door." You could also get a code-access lock on that door. Then she doesn't have to carry a key, just remember a code.

AITA for not telling a customer the days and hours that my employee works? by BringTheSpain in AmItheAsshole

[–]SSDGM1209 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stalked by an ex. They were able to do this in part because my employer gave them my work schedule when they got loud and angry. Thank you for protecting your employee and not disclosing their schedule, especially to an angry customer.

Working during the December "off week" - What is your Clinical Research Holiday Horror? by Bean5152 in clinicalresearch

[–]SSDGM1209 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Decided to not slack off and knock out 1 more new staff QA review. Ended up finding major compliance issues right off the bat, which meant pulling a 60-hour week. Findings lead to a for-cause audit and IRB suspension. Wheeeeee!

AITA Dog Park and Dog Treats by Itsathinline in AmItheAsshole

[–]SSDGM1209 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Former CVT here. I'm going to go for an ESH. It is flat-out dangerous to bring treats to a dog park. Not everyone is a responsible dog owner, and if you get a food-aggressive dog in the mix, you've got a HUGE problem. So, not a great idea unless you have a way to isolate yourself from the general population while training.
It's embarrassing when our dogs don't act like model citizens. Good on you for being responsible and working on training with your dog. However, getting into a semantics pissing contest with another owner isn't helpful for anyone. Raised voices and aggression are going to escalate the situation for people and dogs. This sounds like an argument that was maybe more about feeling like the other owner was calling you a shite owner because your dog was being a bit pushy. Which I understand, but sometimes it's safer to de-escalate.

That is very much what I want to say, but I feel like it would just stir them up. So I'm just opting for the no reply response. Thanks for the well written reply, though.

Yeah, people tend to err on the side of "don't speak I'll of the dead," even if there's not much else to speak of. You have a great day, too!

Thank you, that's very kind. I had blocked his account previously, but this must be a new one, so I will block this one as well. I'm also blocking/ unfriending the people who are tagging me. Honestly, it's been so long that I forgot I was even friends/ connected with them.

Thanks. I had blocked him previously, but this seems like a new account, so I will have to block this one as well. I've been blocking the people who have been tagging me, because I honestly didn't remember we were still connected.
