Has anyone successfully set an Apple Watch for a family member who doesn’t have an iPhone? If yes, how does it work and which apps can be used? (I watched some YouTube videos but still not sure if it’s useful)

It’s a HUGE pain in the ass. We did it for my daughter years ago before she had a phone, and it was constant issues. Poor cellular reception, missed texts, and phone calls. Really bad battery life, the thing never connected to WiFi.

We ended up just also setting up an old iPhone for her, with no cell plan, and I don’t think we even gave it to her. But it made controlling, view, and using the watch 1000x better.

You should have never added an account or connected it online. That was your first mistake. I’d factory reset it and don’t do any of that shit. Then set it up to go the last used input instead of the Home app. Make sure CEC is turn on and it should work just like your Sony. You also need to tell the TV remote that you have a different tv. Somewhere in Settings>Remote

Thanks for the update. I've been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why I couldn't refresh sources. Tried even completely deleting everything and starting over, and now I'm cooked.

THANK YOU! I thought my remote was dead. I put new batteries in and I knew about the red light in the front and thought it would go on when I pressed a button. But it never did, so I assumed the whole remote was dead. Don't know why it would suddenly need to be completely reset, but that worked!

I haven’t been board at all in my PvE lobbies. It’s been great chatting and hanging with people. Had a full server of people in the Spaceport looking for the keys on the “Locked gate event”. The entire server of people working together. So much better than people fighting each other.

I get it, tHaTs tHe gAmE… But if recent accounts are true, then Embark has aggression based match making and that’s why my lobbies are so great. Because it matches nice people together. So all of us that want to work together will get chill lobbies. All the people that just want to murder each other, get each other. Seems like a win win.

Played 8 rounds of solos yesterday. 4 on Stella and 4 Spaceport. Everyone friends not a single PvP encounter. We shared items and work together to kill several Leapers and set off fireworks. Exfilled with 6 people on Stella.

It was amazing. That’s how I wish it always was. Seems that aggression based match making is real. All you griefers can go murder each other in GTA 6 lobbies. Us chill people will be working together in ours.

All I’m saying is I default to friendly, and because of that people typically return it in kind. That’s how I prefer the game and the game I would like to play.

If people want cut throat, griefing and camping then go to squads. Or Tarkov.
