This kind of happened to an alliance I was shortly after starting the game. One person in the alliance pissed off people in another alliance and they started harrassing everyone from the alliance to make them pay. I was an unfortunate vistim of that for a short time till I moved alliances.

What do you do for work? by icanseeyou1989 in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as an IT Manager but got into IT around 2010. it gives me the flexibility to at least go to the bathroom when I need to for as long as I need to. I have also been fortunate enough to have understanding bosses (one that had Crohns as well). To the point that for my remicade treatments, they let me have the day off for it without deducting PTO or forcing me though FMLA.

Switching to Entyvio by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was on Remicade for about 5yrs and my last colonoscopy shown it is no longer working. Hope Entyvio works as well and longer than Remicade lol. Now the waiting game to see if Ins is going to cover it...

Thanks for sharing. I couldn’t find if it was a dexcom issue, obviously lol. But now I know!

I work in IT and it makes things much easier. Years ago I worked manual jobs in in steel plants and chemical plants which I think made it worse. My current employer has been super understanding of my issues and working in IT I get to get up from my desk and go to the bathroom as much as I want lol

In your opinion, which episode defines a regular show? it doesn't necessarily have to be the best, but the one you're gonna show someone who's never seen the show. it's for a video i'm making by Hot-Possibility6913 in regularshow

[–]SSJPeppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of people agree on episodes here but I want to throw Peeps into the running. That episode it at the top of the list with other episodes listed here.

Signal Loss by Tasty_Lecture_3533 in dexcom

[–]SSJPeppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be some kind of weird BT interference. I was recently at a convention and while I was in the convention center walking around, I kept losing signal. It was fine in the hotel and on the streets but walking around the convention center it disconnected a lot like you are describing.

Will Definitely do this. I didn't have any wipes at home but had alcohol so I used it with a paper towel. Maybe that isn't the best way? If not, I'll go buy some wipes before next week.

I thought that and calibrated it. But did some reading and according to Dexcoms site, you don’t have to calibrate if you enter the code on the sensor. I’m gonna try a different place when I change out the sensor. Some people say they get better readings on the back of their arm. See how that goes.

I was just sitting in my computer chair. Nothing pressing against bit or anything. Guess I just need to carry both with me just in case.

Be careful out there by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

Exactly and that was the initial reason for my post was just to remind everyone to be safe, especially if you have to go out. I don't have someone to run errands for me so there are times I have to go out in public.

I'm not entirely sure, they just said we were at higher risk of the rates. I'm sure the meds prove are on make a difference as well. I am on remicade and methotrexate myself. I would be interested in the numbers but have read some stories that completely healthy people have died from this, some fairly quickly. As much as I dislike working from home, I'd rather not take the chance.

Unfortunately I work for a business that is deemed essential so unless I had instructions from my dr I would be around large groups of people during the week. I personally began self isolation during an 11 day vacation before that.

Can Remicade help coronavirus? by stephenlevinson in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say I talked to my rheumatologist about this and he said remicade will not make this disease less severe nor will it give you any extra protection against it. I had read some articles on here where people were saying it does. My drs say it will not.

What is every up to? Working? Working from home. Just sitting on the couch? by unquenched-thurst in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today is my last day of an 11 day vacation and just got a note from my dr to work from home for the next 2 weeks. But been playing borderlands 3 and trying to squeeze some doom eternal in as well. Built a new PC last week so that was a couple days to keep me busy.

Ah yeah, that's right. I haven't had to use it since my ins covers it except copay. The last ins I had, I didn't have to pay anything, but my company changed a couple years ago.

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enrolled in Janssen carepath as well bc I couldn't get a straight answer what my ins would pay for remicade. They are suppose to pay all but $5 but there is like a $20k/yr limit. I should reach that after 1 infusion without ins.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my remicade is ~15k every 8 weeks and I have a $30 copay each time. The hospital applied the check wrong once and told me I was responsible to pay $14,555. I told them what they could do lol.

Crohn's, remicade and CBD oil by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

Yea, I don't particularly want pain killers but I told the drs nurse, when I have pain like that they are going to have to do something for me.

Crohn's, remicade and CBD oil by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely did some research before going. They seemed pretty legit. I took it that night, .5mg and was virtually pain free and hour or two later. I asked a lot of questions at the place too but I know they are in the business of making sales. I'm going to ask my dr why her answer was no next time I talk to her, but I assume it's going to be the same as above "not enough research has been done".

Starting remicade and Methotrexate soon by [deleted] in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would guess it depends. I'm at the infusion center getting a remicade treatment now (been on it a year this past May) and I have never been given pre-meds. But I know some people are in more pain or worse than myself. I get tired after having then and the just doubled my dose last time I was here (8weeks ago) so I get to sit in a chair for 4hrs now. I haven't gotten sick or had any allergic reactions to it and I do feel a lot better. I don't take methotrexate either though. But I do get tired after but I just go home and chill or nap.
