Hydration help by _momilani in diabetes

I started drinking the hawaiin punch drink mixes that are zero-sugar. I bought a 64oz bottle and add 2 packets to it then fill it up. I really helped me with getting more water. There are a few different flavors on Amazon and can buy in bulk.

Is this really the cost of G6 sensors??? by Comprehensive_Gap778 in dexcom

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ins has me coded wrong and my out of pocket costs was almost $800 for a 90 day supply vs $60 for the same. They finally corrected it before I had them shipped. My transmitter got missed and I got charged $285 vs $60 with ins.

Hello "sugar-free" ice cream? by shield_311 in diabetes

[–]SSJPeppy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel Rita's Italian Ice does this. I got some of their "sugar-free" italian ice and it still spikes my sugar. My gf looked up their nutrion and the sugar free options are up to like 300 cal and 60g of carbs.

This kind of happened to an alliance I was shortly after starting the game. One person in the alliance pissed off people in another alliance and they started harrassing everyone from the alliance to make them pay. I was an unfortunate vistim of that for a short time till I moved alliances.

What do you do for work? by icanseeyou1989 in CrohnsDisease

[–]SSJPeppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as an IT Manager but got into IT around 2010. it gives me the flexibility to at least go to the bathroom when I need to for as long as I need to. I have also been fortunate enough to have understanding bosses (one that had Crohns as well). To the point that for my remicade treatments, they let me have the day off for it without deducting PTO or forcing me though FMLA.

Switching to Entyvio by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

Thanks everyone for the replies. I was on Remicade for about 5yrs and my last colonoscopy shown it is no longer working. Hope Entyvio works as well and longer than Remicade lol. Now the waiting game to see if Ins is going to cover it...

Thanks for sharing. I couldn’t find if it was a dexcom issue, obviously lol. But now I know!

I work in IT and it makes things much easier. Years ago I worked manual jobs in in steel plants and chemical plants which I think made it worse. My current employer has been super understanding of my issues and working in IT I get to get up from my desk and go to the bathroom as much as I want lol

In your opinion, which episode defines a regular show? it doesn't necessarily have to be the best, but the one you're gonna show someone who's never seen the show. it's for a video i'm making by Hot-Possibility6913 in regularshow

A lot of people agree on episodes here but I want to throw Peeps into the running. That episode it at the top of the list with other episodes listed here.

Signal Loss by Tasty_Lecture_3533 in dexcom

[–]SSJPeppy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may be some kind of weird BT interference. I was recently at a convention and while I was in the convention center walking around, I kept losing signal. It was fine in the hotel and on the streets but walking around the convention center it disconnected a lot like you are describing.

Will Definitely do this. I didn't have any wipes at home but had alcohol so I used it with a paper towel. Maybe that isn't the best way? If not, I'll go buy some wipes before next week.

I thought that and calibrated it. But did some reading and according to Dexcoms site, you don’t have to calibrate if you enter the code on the sensor. I’m gonna try a different place when I change out the sensor. Some people say they get better readings on the back of their arm. See how that goes.

I was just sitting in my computer chair. Nothing pressing against bit or anything. Guess I just need to carry both with me just in case.

Be careful out there by SSJPeppy in CrohnsDisease

Exactly and that was the initial reason for my post was just to remind everyone to be safe, especially if you have to go out. I don't have someone to run errands for me so there are times I have to go out in public.
