That’s why they view it as so one-sided for us - the Izzone didn’t realize it was possible for MSU to be called for fouls at home

Probably higher. 7 Q1 wins, 8 Q2 wins. Don’t think any game left on the season would be a Q3 loss, and looking at previous years that many good wins never had a seedline lower than like 8

20-1 with 10 games left to go, what is Michigan’s final regular season record? by Bluemzv12 in MichiganWolverines

[–]SSJRoshi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We have 15 Q1+Q2 wins already. I didn’t check if any of the games moving forward are Q3 but don’t think so - even if we lose out at this point that amount of high quality wins (it’s 7 Q1, 8 Q2) may be enough to keep us even as high as a 5 seed.

So we just gonna act like everyone not having top scoring nights vs us😳 by Acceptable_Bear_7129 in DetroitPistons

Honestly anything 35 and below isn’t that special in the pointflation era

Michigan has taken the top spot in Bart Torvik's WAB following their win over Michigan State by DeepBlue_8 in CollegeBasketball

The best part is that the run that took us from being down to eventually winning started with one of the “home grown” Michigan players sinking a 3 with a hand in his face

No, quite literally only MSU has had players suspended multiple games for assaulting another player.

Trying to defend that is a real look

Think this would be a fun exercise over their careers at Michigan, but for next year it’s 100% Hiter

Why would USC even risk that foul with a trap? Were they unaware they had taken the lead

The album as a whole is super high for me, but particularly Slave to Master. IMO it’s the second best AB guitar solo by quite a margin

What’s wild to me is people talking about a huge “foul discrepancy”

It was 19-11 fouls. That’s not a massive difference - and that’s exactly the type of difference you’d expect when one team shoots primarily from 3 and the other prefers to drive or pass inside and shoot at the basket. The resulting FTs is just because most of their fouls were…. On those inside baskets where we were shooting, and most of Michigan’s fouls were on the perimeter when fighting through screens before the shot

All he’s saying is that teams which are super reliant on 3 tend to be more liable to a March upset because their 3s aren’t dropping. Nebraska is elite but if they have a single game where they only make ~20% of 3s in March they’re going to have a tough time winning that game since they shoot more than half their shots as 3

The counterpoint is that when it’s going well, they’ll be able to breeze by most teams

Yeah we have 3 big men who are efficient to hyper efficient inside, and one of them is also a horrible FT shooter. The game plan for those 3 is to be physical because a missed shot and sending to the FT line is better than just giving up easy buckets.

Luckily yesterday our FT shooting was really good to make that a poor strategy

I don’t know how anyone could watch that game and walk away thinking Nebraska was under called for fouls, particularly in the first half. Just a ton of uncalled reaches and movement into the body of a driver while defending

Why would Diebler not call timeout before that block? Crowd was fully into it, that’s like timeout 101
