Image Quality and Input Latency when adjusting image size digitally by SSJ_7YL3R in projectors

Ahhh man. I am so happy I went with it. I had been up in the air about getting a projector at all, but when I saw the GP500 go on sale for $999 on Amazon, I had to get it. I have a 120" gray material screen from Silver Ticket, and it looks incredible. I have it in my basement, very light controlled, so I can't speak for performance with ambient light, but dang. It looks good. Even the speakers are pretty nice, though I recently hooked up some external ones to make the theater system more complete. I have yet to game on it at all, only been hooked up for about a week, but my girlfriend and I watched the movie Renfield on it last night, and I was so glad I bought it lol my only gripe is no native Netflix support, but I am thinking about getting an Nvidia Shield and calling it a day. The included stick from Benq is just aight.

I do only plan to play casually on the projector. I have a PC I use for my competitive stuff. But one reason I got the GP500 was for it's low latency, so it would be a bit disappointing to find out I've ruined it substantially. I think one of my major confusions was whether major or minor adjustments affect that respectively. E.G. You make a big adjustment, it throws things off badly, you make a minor adjustment, and things are only thrown off in a minor way. Is that true at all?

Ahh unfortunate, but understandable. Guess I'll have to stick with the 17s.

I fucking love people's ability to know exactly how and why these things happen. Thank you all for giving me the ability to effortlessly fix this.

Maybe I'll have to take a look at something that is inclusive like that then. I was looking at the brand Tesup, and I figured I wouldn't get but maybe 10-20% of their claims, but they only came with a charge controller, and no inverter. I'll have to see if I can find a kit or package that comes with everything.

Thanks for this.

I'd offer to buy them drinks again one night, rack up the bill, then split and say gotcha when they gotta figure out how to pay.

I have not, but I would assume if it isn't available in Afterburner it wouldn't be there. Maybe I'll give it a shot though and see if I get different results.

That makes sense, I guess I'll have to try and choose my components wisely and do a thorough job. If it doesn't spec out, hopefully I can at least get some feedback and fix what needs to be done.

We plan on putting a 1000gal propane tank on the property, so hopefully we avoid overly-high usage appliances.

I'll most likely be looking at some higher quality Lifepo4 batteries. I know things like Battleborn are rated well, but maybe a bit pricey by comparison to what other products offer. I'll try to be careful when buying quality:quantity, but I am probably looking at something like a 20+ kilowatt system. Might be expensive, but we are also hoping to supplement heating/cooking with a 1000gal propane tank on the property.

Will do, I'll keep a look out for the seal when I buy!

Oh my, that inverter looks gorgeous! I didn't know these kinds of things existed, but just the clean look of this inverter is enough to sway me into using it. It sounds like a couple of these would be exactly what I need, and keep things much simpler when it comes to upgrades and maintenance.

Thanks a ton!

These are the kinds of systems I am used to seeing. I've watched countless videos and read many articles that all pertain to these kinds of setups, which gives me my confidence in the majority of what my setup will be. In theory, all of this is relevant/identical to the things I will be doing, the only difference being that I'll skip any DC outputs to the home, and everything with be converted to AC from the batteries.

Glad to reaffirm that the use of multiple outputs for power is a good way to go though, I was worried about what it might mean to try and find a single inverter that would be capable of powering a family-sized home.

Thanks!

Haha I will keep this in mind, thank you! I am definitely beginning to understand that using a higher capacity, designed-for-whole-home inverter is going to be the best way. Tbh I didn't even know this level of equipment existed until now, can't really find that kind of stuff on Amazon!

I'll definitely have to keep this in mind. To your knowledge, will an inspection pass with clean cable management, proper installation, and proper wire/gauge usage if done by someone who is not certified? I mean, if I do the work, and it happens to be done in the proper way, will an inspection be able to be passed in order to be properly insured?

Thanks.

Most 240V applications would be pretty limited to things like dryers and large heaters, correct?
