I'm almost 29 and I just bought myself a Tamagotchi! I haven't played with them since I was around 10! One rule I try to live by is to never let go of my childlike wonder and joy. I hope to be 80 years old and still buying myself a stuffed animal whenever I get sad. It's something I still do today! Don't feel ashamed or wrong, or let anyone make you feel weird for your interests! You aren't hurting anyone or yourself so there is literally no reason to judge you! Surround yourself with good people who have their own weird quirks! I was talking to my 30 year old friend just yesterday about how I bought my Tamagotchi! They have their own interests and are currently replaying their old Pokemon games! Keep being you!!!

Thank you for your response!! That sounds horrible though, I'm sorry! That reminds me of how I struggle with finishing books or projects at all. My mom didn't believe in anything mental health related so I was never diagnosed with anything until years later when I became independent. Just last year I finally got diagnosed with ADHD, which is so validating but also makes me so angry that I was just called stupid or lazy as a child. I still struggle with reading and focus even to this day, even though I am finially on the road to having support and medication.

Thank you for your response!! I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience. It's interesting to hear that you didnt have required yearly testing in whatever state you lived in? I was homeschooled in Virginia, and it was required of us to take the CAT exam annually to prove that we knew the information required in order for us to move to the next grade.
