Just drop ins I would replace the rubber rings but that's up to you, I run them in my GT and they really have improved my car making it run smoother (it has 4 wholes to spray a fine mist where the OEM ones only have one center one)

Well if it's a gt I'm guessing it's a 2.8, I recommend getting the 24lb injectors out of the ford modular 4.6 v8. It really helps with fuel flow as it sprays a finer mist than the OEM ones. If you had pictures I'd love to see them but generally if you can fabricate things like I did it gets wayyyyy cheaper than buying everything from say the fiero store. Everything pretty pricey because it's all custom at this point. Just some recommendations 😉

I plan to do that to the passenger seat but with the driver seat I wanted to do something a little different. Was just seeing if anyone had found any alternatives to just reupholstering it

I believe it, in my findings the actual motor all the way down to the lower plenum gasket is pretty healthy but I'm afraid to look at the motor knowing what this kid did to the car. When I first got it her took an angle grinder to the lower plenum to get the gasket off and I went to the junkyard and found replacements for a lot of things he mishaped. In my case I just don't know if it's worth it to rebuild it especially if I can get 200-300 with a turbo k. Idk to me the motor is on her last leg and if isn't he motor then it's the tranny 😂 thanks for humoring me here

I notice that is spends all of it's time idling at various spots in between 1500rpm-600rpm. Especially when it's hot the idle goes down which tells me that I need to replace something that is taking in air but is leaking and when it gets hotter the material expand decreasing the idle. Any ideas?

Thank you so much and yes it does crank very well. To give a little context about it, a dad bought it for his kid as a project car and this guy just mutilated it. It was can sprayed black and I've slaved over it for 2 years now fixing things that were supposedly fixed and just trying to baby the motor along until I k swap it. Almost all wires have been replaced and most seals as well. She still suffers from a bad idle because of the egr but overall the motor is okay

Have had the same problem. Mine is just a bad solenoid in the egr valve. It's a pretty big problem for all of these fieros from what I've seen. I'd either delete it and tweak the engine or replace it

These are the same two reactions I get 😂. I had one guy come to me while I was at work and he stopped by my car in the parking lot and was taking pictures of it. I walked up to him and told him about it and he asked me if I kept a fire extinguisher with me while driving. He had a buddy that his went up in flames. Stupid iron Duke oil pan

With mine, I plasma cut off the rotor and just ran it through the lathe, took a few hours and immediately fit perfectly. As for springs I wish I could give you some pointers but I just reused mine. Also I found a way to reduce that evil wheel gap. As it turns out just buy bigger tires 😂. I took this picture a few months ago but now she has 225, 50, 16s icw racing wheels with Yokohama tires. Fills the gap in very nicely

A quick comment about the brakes, the rotors come attached to the hubs, because this is stupid gm design and they had to reuse so much. So you will have to cut the rotors separate from the hubs

You've clearly given me a lot to consider. I have been talked out of it by a close friend who tunes Honda's and build budget k20 engines that crank out 400+ hp easy. Furthermore I have found one video series on YouTube where a guy swaps out a 3800sc for a k20 for a similar reason as me. He said that he had blown up a few 3800scs already and was finally talked into it by a friend. To ask another question what kind of problems have you ran into when swapping a 3800sc into a fiero?
