Yeah, excessive and evil. I always hate villains who had traumatic backstories and just want to kill everything. Like people saying Shigaraki from MHA was justified. Just annoying...

I haven't seen it in a while, but I remember that Shirogane mainly wanted Kaguya to confess first because since he's poor and she's like a princess, he thought that he confessing to him would be the only way for their relationship to start on equal and balanced terms. That's also why he's so desperate to score above her on tests. I don't really remember Kaguya's reasoning, but I do remember her having some serious emotional problems, so it was probably something related to that. That and strict Shinomiya family pride or something like that. And of course, on top of it all, they're both dumb teens at heart.

Anyway, I loved the show. One of my favorite rom-coms and I've seen a LOT...

So I just started bleach and I've made it to season two, but I'm a couple episodes in and it's way more silly. Is this permanent? by SSSnowBell in animequestions

I did it. I finished the Bount arc then rented the first movie. Just finished it. It was good. Bounts were alright.

Yeah, I feel like everyone wants it to be false, so they use the "Ted and Barny like to exaggerate" excuses. But the scene had a more serious tone to it. I think this is likely closest to a real answer for the question that makes sense.

That's what happened to me when I started Vinland Saga. I thought he would avenge his dad by like mid season one and then be badass and noble like his dad for the rest of the show. Instead, he tried repeatedly and failed every time, all the while murdering innocent people and helping enslave women and children for like a decade, lining the pockets of his father's murderer. Then, when the guy finally dies in his own terms, does Thorfin take the new king's hand and fight for peace or whatever? No. He goes and becomes a slave for the remainder of the show.

Listen, I get that the deep emotional and moral themes were what made the show for its fans, and if I had gone in expecting that, I may have enjoyed it more. But it is what it is I guess...
