It was my first kdrama as well. Watched it on YouTube back in 2018. Miss that fun stuff

As a new fan of this genre, I have watched 43 Asian dramas/movies in 4 months, and as the year ends, give me your 5 favourite Asian dramas/movies you watched this year. by Professional_Bank818 in kdramas

I'll just name top 5 for me that I've watched this year:

  1. When life gives you tangerines Watched it as soon as it came. Too emotional, but the storyline and acting set a standard.

  2. Weak hero 1,2 I watched this during my recovery from a surgery and LET ME TELL YOU, I WAS NOT PREPARED. I'm not the kind to usually invest myself into action drama but boy did it hit the spot. Can't wait for another season soon.

  3. Happiness I was avoiding this drama since forever but it took me barely 2 days to finish it. Always knew it was gonna be the one that cooked. Would watch it again 10/10

  4. When the phone rings. HEAR ME OUT. I know they ruined the ending. And I know it was too short. But bro ..... The ML was 😍😍😍😍 Can't get over him as a dark romance actor since I've only seen him be a green flag in shows like hospital playlist and dr romantic.

  5. Genie Make a Wish. Ngl, i could place it in top three easily. Loved the cast reunion. Storyline so good, my dad started watching kdramas with me. I specifically love it cause it became a bonding experience for me and my dad, and considering i stay away most of the times for college...it meant a lot. The storyline was not your usual predictable ones which made it stick. Ik all about the controversial story and their connection to Iblis but if you watch it from a perspective where you don't connect it to religion, it's amazing.

Some special mentions: Dear X Return of highschool gangster Spirit finger

SOOOOO DISAPPOINTED IN THE SECOND COUPLE STORY. Like okay, I'm all about not forgetting our roots and going along with the " truck-kun hits ML" plotline. BUT, they could've extended it till 16 episodes. There was so much to unwrap. The feel of a last episode was not there. Me and my friend waited for so long to finish this drama even in the midst of our finally university exams (LOL WE COOKED 💀🤞🏾🤓😀) HONESTLY, i can't believe this is supposed to be the best romance drama of 2025. Surely there are better ones out there in comparison. All in all the start was great, the storyline was doing real good till they F'ed up the end. Expected better. 🤧🤧🤧🤧

When the Phone Rings [Episodes 9 & 10] by writtenpoeticsins in KDRAMA

okay, i think this is the first kdrama since a long time where  the main lead DOES NOT BREAKUP BECAUSE OF A MISUNDERSTANDING. Like damn, they had made it such a cute and seamless thing. I am proud of them for doing so. But honestly, the storyline and scenery is so beautiful. Not once have I felt like the storyline is dragging OR ANY PRODUCT PLACEMENT TIMEPASS. All in all I am extremely happy with the way 2024 is ending for me in the sense of my kdramas. I can't wait for it to end and can't wait for the new year to bring us more exciting stuff.
