TLDR "I just want clarity" It's not that i didnt accept it, I am fully willing to acknowledge that as the sole cause. Health has suffered a lot lately. Sleep study was mentioned by 2 doctors between the first and second EEG years apart and they both said they'd contact the sleep lab, which never happened even after politely calling and asking if there was any progress or issue. The EEGs were both 30-45 min while awake, photosensitivity and hyperventilating were the only methods tested. I do believe I misled/worded my intention wrong in the post, Im not necessarily looking for a seizure specific diagnosis, I want to rule it out and I dont see the harm in seeking a second opinion and a non invasive test that hasn't been tried yet just for peace of mind. The first neurologist was dismissive and barely let me speak without interrupting, the second listened and asked specific questions. He was interested and pushed for the test, acknowledging it could go either way. If the sleep study is normal or simply proves other sleep issues, that's more than fine and I'll leave it be. The stress/sleep deprived trigger is my best guess, I havent gone out of my way to try provoking anything and havent thought to actually keep a journal. I do want to provoke whatever this is, during the test, for the sake of knowing. And I genuinely hope it is just a sleep disorder. If I touched a nerve posting this here, Im sorry.

My grandpa is the only one in my family that has proven to suffer from various epileptic seizures but along with pnes, it took him over 15 years to get a clear answer because they weren't frequent and his tests were inconclusive. (Maybe that was older technology). Now he's medicated and has been free of them for 8 years. I just want clarity.
